Brief introduction of Huangpu River in Shanghai

Huangpu River is a landmark river in Shanghai, which flows through the urban area of Shanghai and divides Shanghai into Puxi and Pudong. Huangpu River is an important waterway in Shanghai. After the Baidu Bridge outside the center of Shanghai joins the Wusong River (Suzhou River), it joins the Yangtze River at Wusongkou, which is the last tributary of the Yangtze River before it joins the East China Sea.

The Huangpu River is about 1 13 kilometers long and 300 to 770 meters wide. Huangpu River starts from Dianshan Lake, the peak of Zhujiajiao Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, and Dianshan Lake receives a lot of water from the upstream Taihu Lake basin. "Pu" means river in ancient Wu dialect, generally referring to artificial river. The lower reaches of Huangpu River used to be called Huang Xie Puhe Chunjiang Shen, which is said to be because Shanghai was once the fief of Huang Xie, the king of Chu Chun Shen in the Warring States Period.

1, Taipu River

Taipu River is located in the southwest of Qingpu District. Because of the communication between Taihu Lake and Huangpu River, it is named. 1958 to 199 1 year, which is formed by artificial excavation and connection on the basis of natural lakes. 2. Port of Lamay

It's about 8 kilometers long. Formerly known as little rip, one is called little rip. Historically, the north of the intersection of Zhugangtang and Puhuitang was called Xiaolaipu.

3. Bahe

Bahe River is located in the southeast of Qingpu District, adjacent to Songjiang District. This river used to be as wide as a lake, formerly known as Maohu, also known as Tuanmao (a circle), and it is one of the "Huating Sanmao" (Tuanmao, Heavy Mao and Long Mao). It is connected to the intersection of Dongfang Hongqiao Highway in Li Antang Town, Qingpu County in the northwest and to the small inclined pond in Bahe Village, Shihudang Town, Songjiang District in the southeast.
