As the mouth of Qiantang River, the dammed lake is named Nanbei Lake because it is divided into two parts by a long dike. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side, it forms a microclimate with warm winter and cool summer, which is very suitable for the growth of local products. Therefore, local farmers also have the saying that "spring tea, autumn orange and winter bird wax, summer solstice waxberry is full of mountain red, peach ripe bamboo shoots are fat and loquat yellow, and pine flowers are cold and dew." Nanbei Lake is the first batch of provincial-level scenic spots in Zhejiang, and it is also one of the top ten "best leisure resorts" in Zhejiang.

Tan Xianshi Town: Located on Tan Xianling in the west of Nanbei Lake Scenic Area, there are two mountains on the left and right. Known as "Badaling in the south of the Yangtze River", it is the smallest stone town in China. Tan Xianling is the junction of Haiyan and Haining, and it is the main traffic artery from ancient Haiyan to Hangzhou, the provincial capital. In the 24th year of Qing Daoguang, this stone town was built by Liu Yunke, Zhejiang Province, with a battery and an official hall.
Baiyun Pavilion: Located in the center of the commanding heights of the mountains around the lake, it is a three-story square antique building. Baiyun Pavilion is one of the landmark buildings in the scenic spot, with a magnificent momentum, covering an area of 594 square meters. It faces Qianjiang in the south and Zhejiang in the north. Boarding Baiyun Pavilion, you can have a panoramic view of lakes and mountains. On the second floor is a teahouse, known as the "first teahouse in northern Zhejiang".
Butterfly Island: The island area is about 12 mu. Looking down from Yingke Peak, she looks like a butterfly. It commemorates that Hu Die, the winner of Shanghai in 1930s, came to Nanbei Lake to film Salt Tide, with the theme of the living conditions of salt people in Haiyan.
Egret Island: An island in the middle of Beihu Lake. In late summer and early autumn, flocks of egrets came to live, hence the name "Egret Island". You can enjoy tea, fish, lotus and the surrounding mountains when you go to the mainland.
