The independent selection and enrollment of Lanzhou University is carried out under the leadership of the school enrollment leading group, and the specific work is implemented by the undergraduate enrollment office of the school.
Second, the enrollment plan
The enrollment plan of our school is 4600 undergraduates, and the enrollment scale of independent selection is controlled at 5% of the total enrollment plan.
Three. Enrollment major and application conditions
Independent selection and admission mainly recruits outstanding high school graduates with academic expertise and innovation potential. In order to give full play to candidates' specialties and realize "teaching students in accordance with their aptitude" in the training stage, our school conducts independent selection and admission according to eight disciplines (including humanities, social sciences, foreign languages, mathematical information, biochemistry, earth sciences, medicine and grassland sciences). Candidates who meet the requirements of the college entrance examination and meet any of the following conditions can choose according to their own interests and specialties.
(1) Those who won the second prize at or above the provincial level in the Olympic Games (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics) in high school, or those who won the third prize at or above the provincial level in two different disciplines at the same time;
(two) actively participate in scientific and technological innovation activities in high school, won the second prize at the provincial level or above;
(three) to participate in scientific research and training in high school, and to achieve certain results, outstanding performance (must have a certificate of achievement);
(4) Those who have real interest and expertise in language and literature and have development potential (proof of corresponding expertise is required);
(5) Those who have obtained the top 5% of the whole grade in the final exam of the same single subject in high school for at least 3 times (the ranking certificate stamped with the official seal of the school must be provided);
(6) Those who have studied in Russia, Japan, Germany and France for more than five consecutive years in middle school and obtained excellent results in foreign languages (relevant supporting materials must be provided).
Fourth, the registration method
(1) Registration method
Our school will accept candidates' applications for self-recommendation. The candidate's middle school (unit) or the original graduation middle school, social groups or individual experts can also provide the recommendation materials with real names and be responsible for their authenticity.
(2) Selection of major categories to apply for.
Candidates who apply for self-selected admission in our school choose to fill in the form according to major categories when registering online. See annex 1 for details of each category. Each candidate can only choose one major category to fill in the form, and the major category selected by the candidate will be used as the basis for filling in the college entrance examination major.
(3) Online registration
Candidates who apply for the admission qualification of independent selection in our university must log in to the "Independent Enrollment Registration System of Pilot Universities" (/zzbm/) from 9:00 on March 2 to 6 18:00 on March 6, and register online according to the registration requirements of the system, and fill in and print the "Application Form for Independent Enrollment of Pilot Universities".
(4) Preparation of application materials
1. Fill in the Application Form for Independent Enrollment of Pilot Universities and affix the official seal of the university (note: the application form must be generated by the online registration system, downloaded and printed);
Two copies of relevant award-winning certificates and relevant certification materials (all of which must be stamped with the official seal of the school);
3. Personal application report (written by students themselves, mainly explaining their own specialties, school professional knowledge and future development, with words within 1000 words);
The application materials must be printed on A4 paper and bound in the above order (no cover is required).
(5) Sending of application materials
Candidates' application materials are mailed by the candidates themselves; Real-name recommendation letters are mailed by the recommending unit or recommender in person. All application materials must be sent by EMS to the Admissions Office of Lanzhou University (Room 242, Qin Gui Building, Lanzhou University, No.222 Tianshui South Road, Lanzhou, 730000) before March 17 (subject to the postmark date). Overdue or incomplete materials will affect the evaluation qualification (application materials will not be returned).

(1) Preliminary examination of materials
Our school will organize experts from related disciplines to review the candidates' application materials (those with incomplete materials will not be reviewed). Candidates who pass the preliminary examination of materials will be qualified to participate in the independent selection and admission assessment of our school. Please check the materials in Lanzhou University Undergraduate Admissions Network () or Sunshine College Entrance Examination Information Platform (/) of the Ministry of Education before the end of April.
(2) Time and place of assessment
The exam will be held on the campus of Lanzhou University on June 14, and the specific arrangements will be announced separately.
(3) Evaluation Form
Conduct independent selection and admission examinations according to the classification of disciplines. The examination form consists of written examination and interview, which mainly examines students' academic specialty, innovation potential, scientific thinking, humanistic quality, social responsibility and personality specialty. The specific exam plan will be notified separately before the exam.
(4) Qualification determination
According to the principles of comprehensive evaluation, merit-based admission and quality prior to quantity, our school will rank the comprehensive scores according to interview scores ×60%+ written test scores ×40% (both written test and interview scores are converted into full marks of 100), and determine the qualified list of independent selection and admission with reference to students' specialties and middle school scores. On the basis of ensuring the quality of students, the candidates who apply for the exam in the central and western regions and rural areas are appropriately inclined. Candidates with outstanding academic expertise (senior high school mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, informatics olympiad entered the national finals and won prizes) can be exempted from the examination and directly obtain the qualification for independent selection and admission.
The list of self-selected qualified candidates will be published on the undergraduate enrollment network of Lanzhou University () and the sunshine college entrance examination information platform of the Ministry of Education (/) before June 22nd.
Voluntary reporting of intransitive verbs
Candidates who have been determined by our school to be qualified for independent selection and admission must take the national college entrance examination at the place where they are registered, and fill in their own enrollment volunteers according to the requirements of the provincial enrollment department. The professional volunteers must be the corresponding disciplines with independent selection and admission qualifications.
Seven. Admission policy
(1) Candidates who have been determined by our school to be qualified for independent selection and admission can be admitted according to the admission control scores of many undergraduate courses in their home provinces (cities, districts).
(2) Candidates who have been independently selected and qualified by our school are one of the majors that meet the qualifications of candidates at the time of admission; If the results of the college entrance examination reach the simulated investment line of our school in its province (calculated and generated by the provincial admissions office of the place of origin according to the proportion of the final investment line of all colleges and universities enrolled in this province (autonomous region, city)), it will meet one of the top two majors in volunteering; Candidates who can't meet the candidates' professional volunteers but obey the adjustment of professional volunteers will be transferred to the qualified disciplines, and those who don't obey the adjustment will be dismissed (when determining the majors, the majors reported by the candidates in our independent selection and admission system will prevail).
(3) Excellent students with obvious specialties, interests and training potential in related disciplines will be given priority to enter the "Pilot Project for Training Top-notch Students in Basic Subjects" under the same conditions (see Annex 2 for the introduction of Cui Ying University).
(4) Candidates who are admitted through independent selection may not apply for changing their major on the grounds of major. If you are willing to change your major, you can apply for changing your major one year later according to the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Administration of Undergraduates Changing their Major in Lanzhou University.
Eight. Supervision measures
(1) Under the leadership of the admissions leading group of our school, the independent selection and admission work will strictly follow the principles of openness, fairness, impartiality and merit-based admission, strengthen management and strictly follow the procedures. The supervision department of our school participates in the whole process and accepts social supervision and complaints (supervision telephone number: 0931-8912159).
(2) The list of qualified candidates shall be reported to the Ministry of Education and the provincial recruitment office where the candidates are located for the record, and publicized on the "Sunshine College Entrance Examination" information platform of the Ministry of Education, the enrollment website of our school and the middle school where the candidates are located.
(3) Relevant middle schools should strictly check the authenticity of candidates' application materials in a highly responsible spirit, and applicants should truthfully declare relevant materials in good faith. Anyone who practices fraud will be disqualified once verified.

—— Introduction of Cui Ying College
In order to implement the strategy of strengthening the country with talents and cultivate international leading talents in basic disciplines, according to the deployment of the National Medium-and Long-Term Talent Development Plan (20 10-2020) and the National Medium-and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan (20 10-2020), the Ministry of Education held a meeting in 2009-20/KLOC-0. As one of the planned 19 institutions, Lanzhou University established Cui Ying College on August 20 10 as a platform for the reform and pilot of innovative talents training mode in basic disciplines, and was fully responsible for the implementation of the plan. The college offers English courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and humanities (literature, history and philosophy) to explore the training mode of top students.
College orientation: it is an honorary college of Lanzhou University to explore the internationalization of undergraduate training and management mode; It is an important base for top students to learn independently and develop their personalities.
