Characteristics of Shaanxi Railway Institute in Weinan
Shaanxi Railway Engineering Vocational and Technical College, referred to as Shaanxi Railway Institute for short, is a provincial full-time ordinary higher vocational college in Shaanxi Province, a construction unit of advanced vocational school with China characteristics, a national high-quality vocational school, a first-class college construction unit in Shaanxi Province, a provincial demonstration vocational college construction unit, and the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education.
College was founded in 1973, formerly known as Weinan Railway Engineering School of the Ministry of Railways. In 2002, it was placed under the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government by the Ministry of Railways. In 2003, with the approval of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education, it was restructured and upgraded to a higher vocational and technical college at the junior college level.
