Leizhou City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, which is managed by Zhanjiang City. Before the city was built, it was called Haikang County. It is located in the middle of Leizhou Peninsula at the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland, with a total area of 3,709.33 square kilometers (including Zhanjiang Fenyong High-tech Zone, Suixi Forest Farm and Beipo Forest Farm). By the end of 20021,the permanent population of Leizhou was 1324600. By the end of 10 in 2022, Leizhou had three streets and 18 towns.
Leizhou has a long history, which can be traced back to the Neolithic Age four or five thousand years ago. Leizhou ancestors once cultivated and multiplied here. In the long history, it successively belonged to xuwen county, Lekang County, Kangqi County and Suikang County. Haikang County was located in the Sui Dynasty, 1958, and was divided into Leinan County and Baylor County.

Most of the land in Leizhou belongs to flat platform, and a few are low mountains and hills. The whole terrain is high in the south and low in the north. The valley is generally north-south, and the eastern and western coastal areas are gradually inclined to the sea. Most streams and rivers flow into the sea from west to west and from east to east. There are many hills in the city, with a total area of about 150 square kilometers, accounting for 4.2% of the city's total land area.
The low hills are mainly distributed in the east of Qishui Town, the northeast of Beihe Town, the northeast and southwest of Longmen Town, the north of Tiaofeng Town, the northeast of Yingli Town and the northeast of Fangshen Township. The altitude is generally 65 ~ 174 meters, the relative height is generally 40 ~ 55 meters, and the slope is generally 5 ~ 10 degrees.
