The starting point of Xianyang Airport expressway is located at Liucunbao Interchange in expressway, Anhuan City, which spans Weihe River to Zhouling. The main line of the project is constructed according to the two-way eight-lane expressway standard, with a design speed of 120km/h and an estimated total investment of 2.33 billion yuan.

Construction started in June 2006, with a planned construction period of 2 years and a total investment of 654.38+0.4 billion yuan. The highway main line and connecting line are built according to the expressway standard of full interchange, full closure and six lanes, and the subgrade width is 35 meters, which is about three times the width of the secondary road of the airport. The design speed of the new airport road is120km, and it takes only 20 minutes to drive to Xianyang Airport from the starting point.
