Jinhua Vocational and Technical College, located in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, is a public full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education, 1998. It is a local higher vocational college in Jinhua, a national "double-high plan" construction college, a national demonstration higher vocational college, a pilot college of "excellent doctoral education and training plan" of the Ministry of Education, and a key higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province.
The school's predecessor was 1994, Jinhua Branch of Zhejiang University of Technology and Jinhua Vocational and Technical College approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. 1998, established with the approval of the Ministry of Education, is private. From preparation to 2000, six schools including Zhejiang Agricultural Machinery School, Jinhua Economic and Trade School, Jinhua Agricultural School, Jinhua Normal School, Yiwu Normal School and Jinhua Health School were merged.

20191011,the major of campus forestry technology was determined by the state forestry and grassland bureau as the key professional training point of forestry and grass in national vocational colleges. 20 19- 12 was listed as a first-class high-level school construction unit by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance (file A). In April 2020, he was selected as the first batch of "double-qualified" teachers in higher vocational colleges.
