Xu Hang, 1962 was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, and 1979 was admitted to the Computer Department of Tsinghua University. 1984 after graduation, he obtained a master's degree in biomedical engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering and an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School in 2002.
Winner of Shenzhen Mayor Award in 2005. He is the chairman of Shenzhen Mindray Biomedical Electronics Co., Ltd. and the founder of Peng Rui Qi Hang Public Welfare Foundation. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shenzhen Peng Rui Group and a member of the Board of Directors of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).
