Yueru Expressway is not only a regional economic trunk line connecting eight counties (cities) in eastern Hunan, but also a fast passage from Hunan and eastern Hunan to Hong Kong and Wuhan, and an important north-south passage for the Pan-Pearl River Delta Economic Zone and the rise of central China.
Yueru Expressway is the first vertical in the "five vertical and seven horizontal" expressway network planned by Hunan Province, which runs through Yueyang Pingjiang, Changsha Liuyang, Zhuzhou Liling, Chaling, Yanling and Chenzhou Rucheng. This road is not only a regional economic trunk line connecting eight counties (cities) in eastern Hunan, but also a "one-point-one-line" area in Hunan and a shortcut from southeast Hunan to Hong Kong and north to Wuhan. It is also an important north-south channel for the Pan-Pearl River Delta Economic Zone and the rise of central China.
The Liuyang-Liling section of No.4 Road starts from Huangni Street, the dividing point between Pingjiang and Liuyang, ends at Liling-Liling Expressway, passes through Long Fu Town, Shashi Town and Beisheng Town of Liuyang City, and passes through Changsha National Biomedical Industry Base of Dongyang Town. Crossing Dongyang River and Changliu Expressway at Fengqiao, passing Jiangbei Town of Changsha County, and then crossing Yuelong River in Shantou Town of Liuyang City. The planned mileage of the route is 99.3 kilometers, and the whole line is built according to the standard of two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 100km/h and 9 interchanges. After the completion of Yueru Expressway, it will play an important role in promoting the economy of Yueyang and Zhuzhou, especially the integration of red tourism resources in the old revolutionary base areas of eastern Hunan and even the border areas of Hunan and Jiangxi, and undertaking industrial transfer in coastal areas.
