Introduction of Fangzheng Building in Miao Feng, Xinzhou?

Miao Feng Zushi Tower is located on the west slope of Daxiantong Temple in Wutai Mountain, Taihuai Town, Wutai County, Xinzhou City, and on the south wall of Santasi. It is a subsidiary building of Xiantong Temple in Wutai Mountain, the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Miao Feng Zushi Tower was built in the 40th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (16 12). Miao Feng Zushi Tower is an octagonal five-story solid brick tower with dense eaves. The tower foundation is a square foundation made of ground bricks, with an octagonal waist and a beard seat on it, supporting the octagonal five-story tower body. On the first floor of the tower, there is an arched doorway made of ground bricks, and the arch is decorated with a brick plaque. There are stone carvings embedded in the left side of the doorway, which describe the life and achievements of the master Miao Feng. The corner of the first floor is decorated with brick-carved vertical columns, and the upper floor is a wood-like building structure, with Pope Square and Lanfo Head, supporting gorgeous and exquisite arches, cornices, gullies and roofs, and tower eaves with animal heads. The eaves of the towers are intertwined, and the adduction is not obvious, but the distance between the towers is decreasing, showing dense eaves. On the second floor of the tower, there is a fence for grinding bricks and carving flowers, and there is an arched Buddhist shrine on each side. The third floor and the fourth floor are the same shape. These niches were originally used to hold beautifully carved little Buddha statues, but later they were damaged and abandoned. On the fifth floor of the tower eaves, an octagonal pyramid roof is tied, on which there is a tower top consisting of brake seats and four round balls. Miao Feng Zushi Tower, built by grinding bricks, has a smooth surface, exquisite carving and angular features. It is a very exquisite solid brick tower, and it is a masterpiece of the existing brick tower of Ming Dynasty in China.

In 2006, the relevant departments repaired the Miao Feng Zushi Tower.
