In the initial education model, teachers were needed as educators, because without teachers, students would not know knowledge. From this point of view, teachers play the role of "knowledge base", and students can't acquire this knowledge. 1. The concept of inspiration. The text of a book is very fixed. Different people understand the same sentence in different content and depth. For example, "arithmetic progression's formula is sn = a1* n+[n * (n-1) * d]/2". When someone finds this formula written in the textbook, he will think, "Well, I'll take it as the sum of arithmetic progression." Some people will think that the formula is obtained by adding the original series item by item and dividing it by 2. According to the different thinking depth, although the two students are the same string of words, the learning effect is also very different.
2. dispel doubts. The same formula, if someone has the heart to understand the derivation process, but has not come up with it, then the teacher can explain it, whether it is derived later or not, which saves a lot of time.
3. supervision. Just as road design can't be all straight, learning itself is a painful thing. Without strong will support, it is difficult to read a learned book, let alone understand it deeply. The so-called strict teacher makes a great apprentice, and it happens.
4. Correct mistakes in time. When I was about to graduate, my tutor said something that impressed me deeply: "The tutor's role is not to grade your paper at the end, but to tell you which topics can and cannot be selected at the beginning." When students think about one thing, they think in different directions. If you have been studying in the wrong thinking direction from the beginning, you will waste a lot of time and even be possessed. Of course, studying hard is not a bad thing, but studying hard all the time should not be a good thing.
5. companionship. This is a project that is often ignored by the world. It is not monopolized by learning, but something that a person needs very much when doing anything difficult. When overcoming all kinds of difficulties, people are also a maker of emotions, such as happiness, loss and irritability. And these excited emotions will be triggered by high frequency. If you overcome difficulties without showing off, if you can't attack for a long time, but you can't catch any straw, if you face an inappropriate situation emotionally, your enthusiasm for learning will be severely hit. If you lose your enthusiasm for learning, the learning effect will naturally be greatly reduced.
Looking back on my study career in the first 20 years, among the above four points, the first three modern teachers can play their roles perfectly, and the last one is realized through various campus rules and arrangements.
Having said that, we can actually see that the role of teachers is indispensable in education. With the role of teachers, learners' learning efficiency is greatly improved. Without educators, some people may give up halfway through their studies, regardless of the learning effect.

4. companionship. Nowadays, companionship is reflected in many aspects, from the interaction between students and classmates to the interaction between parents and teachers.
