Is Guo Zuoyu dead?

Guo Zuoyu passed away.

Guo Zuoyu, a researcher, once served as the director of the Information Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, and has been engaged in agricultural informatization research for a long time. He has served as the legal representative and director of the implementation office of the major national e-government project "Jinnong Project", and is in charge of the construction of "123 16 rural comprehensive information service platform" of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Born in 1954, he holds a bachelor's degree in international transportation history from the Department of International Politics in Peking University and a master's degree in economic management from the Central Party School. He has worked in the Central Rural Policy Research Office, the Rural Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture.

He has published five books, such as Introduction to Rural Market Information Service in China, Selected Cases of Rural Information Service in China, and many academic papers, such as Prospect of Informatization and Modern Agriculture Development, and presided over Research on Development Ideas of Agricultural and Rural Informatization in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and Research on Promoting Agricultural Production and Management Informatization by the National Informatization Expert Advisory Committee. He presided over and completed the project of "Case Study of Rural Information Service in China" in cooperation with FAO, which provided a basic, forward-looking and strategic scientific theoretical basis for the development of agricultural and rural informatization in China, played an important role in guiding practice, made outstanding contributions and enjoyed special government allowance from the State Council.
