Synopsis During the turbulent period in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Gao Baoliang, the owner of Matizhuang Village in Feng Run County, tied Wei Wenzhen (Qin Ping), the daughter of Wei Huaiyuan, a magistrate who was bent on collecting money regardless of the lives of the people, to the mill, hoping that Wei Huaiyuan would be exempted from the villagers' money and food. Fang Lu (Wang Yu), nephew of frontier marshal Lu Xiangsheng who was killed by the Qing army, passed through horseshoe village because of his breakthrough. Seeing this situation, he decided to step in. Wei Huaiyuan promised to exempt money and food, but secretly took Gao Baoliang's daughter as a hostage.
After some twists and turns, Fang Lu teamed up with Yan Ziqing (Luo Lie) and Huang Liang (Zheng Lei), martial arts heroes who refused to accept Wei Huaiyuan's director. They fought with soldiers sent by Wei Huaiyuan in Matizhuang, but they were arrested and imprisoned. After knowing what his father had done, Wei Wenzhen saved the righteous man with a sense of justice, and a fierce battle broke out immediately.
