Fuzhou Medical College of Nanchang University was formerly the Medical Department of Gandong University, which was founded in 1958. In the course of its development, it has changed its name and moved several times. In 2000, it was merged into the former Jiangxi Medical College. In 2005, it was merged into Nanchang University together with the Medical College, and became one of the five campuses of Nanchang University, mainly undertaking medical education tasks.
