"If she just turns her head and smiles, there are hundreds of spells." Yang Guifei was over-beautified by film and television dramas, and she really brought disaster to the country and the people.

Yang Yuhuan is one of the four beauties in ancient China. The ancients said that "the moon is closed and flowers are shy", among which "flowers are shy" refers to Yang Guifei. She is smart, good at singing and dancing, familiar with melody and more beautiful. What makes people relish is her love affair with Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. Bai Juyi described her as "crystal clear and moist skin" in Song of Eternal Sorrow. "As long as she turns her head and smiles, there will be a hundred kinds of spells, and the makeup of the sixth palace will go up in smoke." It can be seen that her fine features and good looks are definitely the crown of the harem.

So, how did Yang Yuhuan, who was beautiful and blessed, die? Let's start with her burial place.

In Maweipo, Xingping City, Shaanxi Province, there is a tomb of imperial concubine. According to legend, the owner of the tomb is Yang Yuhuan. During the Anshi Rebellion, Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, escaped from Chang 'an with a group of cronies such as Yang Yuhuan and headed west to Mawei. At this time, the grievances of the soldiers are rising, morale is low, and they are stagnant. General Chen at that time cleverly killed his cousin, then prime minister Yang. Later, he forced Tang Xuanzong to give Yang Yuhuan a death present.

An Lushan's pretext for counterinsurgency was to crusade against Yang, but why did the soldiers let Yang Guifei die?

Yang Guifei Yuhuan lost her father in her early years and grew up in her uncle Yang Lizhen's home. Yang Yuhuan was also invited to attend the wedding of Princess Xianyi, the daughter of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. Li Mao, the princess's younger brother, fell in love with Yang Yuhuan at first sight. At the request of Wu Huifei, the mother of Shouwang, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty wrote a letter asking her to be a shroud princess. After marriage, the two also had a few sweet and abnormal days. However, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty saw that she was in love with her country, but she rebelled against Chang Lun and wanted to keep it for herself.

At that time, "Hu Feng" prevailed in the court of the Tang Dynasty, that is, it seemed not uncommon for Laozi to rob his son and daughter-in-law. But this is not a glorious thing after all. In order to explain to the world, Tang Xuanzong did some work on the table. First, under the banner of filial piety, she was ordered to become a female Taoist priest, saying that she wanted to bless her mother, Dou Taihou, and given the name "Taizhen" to let Yang Yuhuan move out of Shouwangfu and live in Taizhen Palace. Later, she was recruited into the palace in the name of "being a female Taoist". After Yang Yuhuan entered the palace, he won the favor of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. In the fourth year of Tianbao (745), she was named the imperial concubine, equivalent to the queen. Because after the death of the queen, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty never set up a queen again. That year, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was sixty-one years old and the imperial concubine was twenty-seven years old. After being favored by Yang Yuhuan, her three sisters were also favored by her. The elder sister was named Mrs. Han, the third sister was named Mrs. Guo and the eighth sister was named Mrs. Qin. Each person pays a monthly fee of 100,000 yuan and is free to enter the palace. Among them, Mrs. Guo, who ranks third, is even more beautiful because of her natural beauty. Du Fu's "Mrs. Guo" said: "Mrs. Guo made a decisive decision and got on the horse in Kinmen. However, I thought that the powder was full of color and the moth eyebrows were supreme. " ("Detailed Explanation of Du Fu's Poems" Volume II) is a portrayal of the facts.

Because of Yang Guifei's love, the Yang family has also become prominent. As the status is getting higher and higher, it is more lawless. According to historical records, Yang's reception specifications exceeded the prescribed limits; Also accepting bribes; Not only that, they even rode on the heads of the royal family.

It is recorded in the Book of the New Tang Dynasty: "When you go out and enter the palace, the voice of grace shakes the world. Every maid enters the class, and Princess Ying and others dare not be out of place. Princess Jianping and Princess Xincheng took care of the concubine family until the imperial court was sealed and the husband and wife lost their official positions. " The emperor's sister can only give up her seat in front of three young ladies and dare not sit down; The daughter of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Princess Xincheng, had a problem with the Yang family, so she was reduced to collecting gifts from the inner government. But Yang Guifei knew that Xuanzong didn't have her, so she was restless, so she was even more arrogant. The Yang family "went in and out of the forbidden door without asking, and the Beijing officials looked askance." Chen Hong's "Song of Eternal Sorrow" records: Brother Ju said that all sisters and brothers were listed in the soil, and because of her, she lit up and glorified her clan; When a girl is born instead of a boy, she brings happiness to every father and mother in the empire.

In the face of Yang's indulgence, if not handled, I'm afraid the whole country will become Yang's. Therefore, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty sent Yang Guifei back to her family twice because of her love and arrogance. The Book of the Old Tang Dynasty (Volume 51) records that "in July of five years, the imperial concubine was sent back to Yang's family" and "Tianbao was nine years old, and the imperial concubine was sent back abroad". Of course, this is just Xuanzong's strategy of killing chickens to show monkeys, that is, destroying the prestige of the Yang family. But every time after the imperial concubine left the palace, Xuanzong refused to eat and miss, and finally had to recall it again, making her worse.

Because Yang Guifei was loved, her brothers gave them to senior officials, and even her distant brother Yang Zhao (Guo Zhong) held dozens of positions until he became prime minister and manipulated state affairs. It is said that Xuanzong went to Huaqing Pool, accompanied by five members of the Yang family, each with a team, wearing the same color, and five families joined hands and were colorful. Jewelry falling along the way can be seen everywhere, shining, and its luxury is beyond measure. The Yang family married two princesses, two princesses, and Xuanzong personally wrote a temple monument for Yang. In addition, Yang's distant brother is a man who "does not care about the success or failure of the world" and only seeks self-interest and misses national affairs.

He was overjoyed, militaristic, and often used troops in border ethnic minority areas, which not only caused thousands of innocent soldiers to die at the border, but also caused disasters to ethnic minority areas, making inland rural areas barren and the people miserable; During his reign, the Tang Dynasty launched two wars to conquer Nanzhao, both of which failed because of long-term persistence and the decline of combat power. In order to win people's hearts and develop their own power, he asked the Ministry of Education to choose officials, regardless of whether they were virtuous or not, for many years. According to their qualifications, they took over the office when they were free. The power of selecting officials is monopolized by one person, which leads to the decline of the quality of selecting officials. Yang's cronies asked Xuanzong to make a monument for Yang at the gate of the provincial capital, praising his "merit" in selecting officials; He is indifferent to the sufferings of the people.

In the 12th year of Tianbao (753), floods and severe famines occurred continuously in Guanzhong area. Xuanzong was worried that it would hurt crops. Yang specially asked someone to show it to Xuanzong and said, "Although there was a lot of rain, it didn't hurt crops." Xuanzong believed it. Later, Fufeng Taishoufang (Wang Guan) reported that there was a local flood, and Yang asked Yushi to interrogate him. Since then, no one has dared to report the truth.

Because of this, the Anshi Rebellion gave An Lushan an excuse to "worry about the country" and punished Yang with a secret imperial edict. As the saying goes, many wrongs will kill him, and Yang was killed in Maweipo's disorderly army.

Yang Guifei also hanged herself at the foot of Mawei Slope, and a generation of beautiful women died of fragrance, leaving only a pile of loess in front of Mawei Slope.
