1, Hokkaido fishing ground is formed by the intersection of Japanese warm current and Thousand Island cold current.
2. Newfoundland fishing ground is formed by the confluence of Gulf Warm Current and Labrador Cold Current.
3. Beihai Fishing Ground is formed by the confluence of the North Atlantic warm current and the East Greenland cold current.
4. The fishing grounds in Peru are formed by the rising compensation current along the coast of Peru.
Considering comprehensively, marine fishery resources are mainly concentrated on the coastal continental shelf, that is, the part of the continental seabed extending from the coast to about 200 meters underwater. Here, the sunshine is concentrated, the photosynthesis of organisms is vigorous, and the rivers entering the sea bring rich nutrients, so plankton flourishes. They are the bait of fish, and are generally more in temperate waters.
The seasonal changes in temperate waters are remarkable. In winter, surface seawater and bottom seawater are exchanged, and flooding seawater is rich in nutrients, which is beneficial to plankton reproduction.
In addition, where cold and warm currents meet and cold seawater overflows, the bait is also very rich.
Considering these aspects comprehensively, there are five major fishing grounds in the world:
1, North Pacific Fishing Ground: It is a vast area including Hokkaido Fishing Ground, Zhoushan Fishing Ground in China and many fishing grounds on the west coast of North America;
2. Southeast Pacific fishing grounds: it is a vast area including Peruvian fishing grounds;
3. Northwest Atlantic Fishing Ground: It is a vast area including Newfoundland Fishing Ground;
4. Northeast Atlantic Fishing Ground: It is a vast area including the North Sea Fishing Ground;
5. Southeast Atlantic fishing grounds: a vast area including the coastal fishing grounds in southwest Africa.
