An Essay on Yumenkou's Travel Prose

Yumen is the best scenery in the world, and the Yellow River is the ancient crossing of Sanqin.

In order to enjoy the scenery at Yumenkou, I took the shuttle bus from Hancheng at 5 am. When I left Seoul, it was still foggy with sporadic raindrops. I drove for an hour and got off at the west end of Yumen Bridge at 6 o'clock. Suddenly, the sky was bright, and a rising sun rose from Ran Ran in Longmen Dongshan, making the Yellow River at the foot of the mountain look like gold satin. I went to Guanzhong, and I haven't seen the sun for a week. Seeing the sun here now feels particularly cordial and unforgettable.

Yumen, which straddles the east and west banks of the Yellow River, is named Longmen because there is no door, mountains and waters are dangerous. According to legend, Yu Xia has dug through the river at this point, which is Gong Yu's so-called "stone-digging, as for Longmen". I saw the east-west confrontation of Longmen Mountain, in which the Yellow River ran. There is no shore on both sides, and the shore is a towering and steep cliff. It is majestic and terrible, just like a knife and an axe. This is daunting and surprising. It's really "Yumen three waves, underground thunder"! You see, the surging Yellow River bends slightly in the North Gorge and rushes forward, forcing it to squeeze through this narrow mountain pass. If a thousand troops are killed, any difficulties and obstacles are not to mention!

Out of Yumenkou, the Yellow River has become vast and flowing for thousands of miles, giving people a feeling of infinite grandeur and openness.

Qin Jin is separated by a river. Yumen is 30 kilometers away from Hancheng, Shaanxi Province, and only 12 kilometers away from Hejin County, Shanxi Province. Danger of Yumen, chinese odyssey. According to "Notes on Water Classics", "The Longmen was carved by Yu, with a width of 80 steps, and there are still traces among the rocks." Later generations miss Yu's merits, and Longmen is also called Yumen. Because of the traffic ferry in ancient Qin Jin, it was called Yumenkou. The Yellow River rushed out of Longmen and crossed the cliff canyon, which gave Shan Ye a great shock and far-reaching sound. Yu's Longmen tablet is like an uncanny workmanship. The original Wang Yu Temple on the mountain has been destroyed. After liberation, there were railway bridges, highway bridges and railway bridges. The three bridges cross the Yellow River side by side, and pedestrians and vehicles pass unimpeded. Sails are scattered all over the river, and Qi Fei, the third bridge, is spectacular.

Now Wang Yu Temple is built under the cliff at the east end of the highway bridge, with pavilions and monuments, a cave behind it and one or two families next to it. The original temple was built in the Three Kingdoms period at the end of Han Dynasty, and Wei Mingdi erected a monument for the temple. Xia's epic, cutting off Longmen Mountain and rivers and mountains, the Yellow River will also go out from this throat and enter the ocean, never to return.

I wandered on the open riverbank south of Yumenkou, bathed in the shoulders of Jin Shu and Xia Hong, stepped on two feet of fine sand and river dew, looked at the steep canyon in the north, and looked at the magnificent scenery on both sides of the river depicted in the south, which was fascinating and filled with emotion. I have never seen such an amazing scene in my life: how steep Longmen Mountain is and how fierce the Yellow River is! In Hetao area of Inner Mongolia, the Yellow River I saw was like an old woman singing a lullaby, but the Yellow River I saw here was like a brave soldier. He only cares about going forward, dying, persevering, and not being timid! So it gives people a spirit of progress. The highway and railway bridges here are different from other places, and there are no piers at all. They are actually just cable bridges pulled from east to west by steep cliffs. Walking on the highway bridge, I saw a big truck carrying coal passing by, and I trembled leisurely. Looking down at the Yellow River at the foot, I saw the yellow water rushing out of the gate and breaking through the shore. The whirlpool was as big as an ox, and the waves went straight to the iron chain.

Turning evil into safety is a feat that man can conquer nature! At that time, Dayu only had the power to split Longmen Mountain, but did not connect it together. Today, three bridges are connected, and Qin Jin is separated by a river, but there is no river. It's only an hour's journey from Hancheng to Hejin, so it's not difficult for Qin people to exchange needed goods and information.
