This major is a new interdisciplinary major of civil engineering technology and management. The specialty is oriented to the needs of enterprises in the industry, and it is connected with national and local development strategies such as construction modernization, general contracting, whole-process engineering consulting and Jiangsu Construction 2025. To cultivate builders, cost engineers and BIMI engineers who have mastered the basic knowledge of civil engineering technology and related management, economy and law, have the ability to apply BIM technology, and can engage in engineering management in infrastructure construction, real estate and other fields. According to the training objectives, the specialty builds an application-oriented curriculum system based on BIM technology, civil engineering and information technology, engineering law, engineering economy and engineering management. The professional knowledge system comes down in one continuous line with the professional qualifications of builders, cost engineers, supervision engineers and other industries, and it is the first batch of "1+X" certificate system pilot majors of the Ministry of Education. Students can obtain vocational skills certificates such as BIM during their school days.
This major, in conjunction with industrial enterprises, set up Taizhou BImI Engineering Technology Research Center to create a "studio" talent training mode and cultivate students' engineering practice ability with real engineering projects. The specialty provides a rich training and competition platform, and offers intensive postgraduate entrance examination classes and international classes to provide students with a development platform. The major has also established internship and employment bases in many well-known enterprises, and set up enterprise scholarships to help students carry out internships and employment smoothly.
