The reason for so much rain this year: El Nino+subtropical high.
El Nino just ended in May, which has a far-reaching impact on China's subtropical high and flood season. The western Pacific subtropical high is the main driving force affecting the distribution of rain belts in flood season in China. Under normal circumstances, April and May are located in the south, and China's rain belt is located in South China, which is the pre-flood season in South China; In June and July, it strengthened northward and the rain belt was pushed to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. This is plum rain; In August, it will continue to strengthen northward, and then go to North China and Northeast China, which is the rainy season in the north; In September, the subtropical high retreated and the rainfall task was completed!

But this year is not normal. El Nino tends to strengthen the subtropical high and extend westward, prompting a large amount of water vapor to enter China from the sea and meet with the cold air from the south, resulting in large-scale heavy rainfall. Sometimes the subtropical high is easy to stabilize in a certain area, and the rain cannot drive it. When precipitation is concentrated, floods will occur. Sadly, this effect still lags behind. Although El Nino will leave in spring, the tail of the rain will drag on into summer, which makes our country have to face the impact of floods.
To tell the truth, it rained so much this year that I shivered at the data. The main flood season has just begun. Which areas have been hit hard? Does the downpour threaten food security this year? Can the rain this summer give people a chance to breathe? These are all problems to be solved.
Almost the whole Yangtze River basin has been affected by the flood. Heavy rainfall of100 ~ 300mm has occurred in central and eastern Hubei, central and southern Anhui, central and southern Jiangsu, central and northern Hunan, northwestern Jiangxi, southeastern Guizhou, northern and southern Guangxi, with some areas along the Yangtze River in eastern Hubei and southern Anhui exceeding 400mm and some exceeding 500mm. There will still be heavy rainfall in some of the above areas today, so it is necessary to pay attention to disasters such as floods and landslides that may be caused by continuous heavy rainfall.
It is estimated that there will be heavy rain or rainstorm in parts of central Anhui, central Jiangsu, eastern Hubei, northern Hunan, northern and southern Guangxi, western Sichuan Basin and southern Sichuan Plateau, northern and southeastern Yunnan and southern Hainan Island from 08: 00 on the 5th to 08: 00 on the 6th. Among them, there will be heavy rain (100 ~ 200mm) in parts of southeastern Hubei, coastal areas of southern Guangxi and western Sichuan Basin. The above areas are accompanied by strong convective weather such as short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorms and strong winds, and the maximum hourly rain intensity is 60 ~ 80 mm.
Remember when the rainstorm hits! !
Pedestrians-
1. Before the rainstorm comes, choose a higher position to shelter from the rain.
If the road surface is flooded, stand in a safe place and don't wade rashly.
3. When the rainstorm is accompanied by thunder and lightning, turn off the mobile phone and throw away the umbrella with metal.
4. Don't lean on the signal pole of the lamp post, so as to avoid touching the metal-containing objects and causing electric shock.
5. Pay attention to whether there are wires around.
6, pay attention to the wall structure, away from the unstable fence.
Vehicle wading—
1, don't blindly enter the unknown water depth.
2. Don't drive into the rapids, even if the water depth is less than half a meter.
If you have entered the stagnant water, first try whether the door can be opened, then open the window and prepare to escape.
When the car stalls in the water, you should leave the car immediately and move to a higher place. Don't stay in the car, and don't light any more fires.
5. When the door is locked, choose to break the window to escape at the first time.
6. When there is no window-breaking tool, you can use the headrest to break the window.
Fire and water are ruthless, may the people be safe!
