Caoxian county belongs to Heze city, Shandong province, which was called in ancient times. It is located in the southwest of Shandong Province, at the junction of eight counties in Lu Yu Province, with Shangqiu and Quan Min counties in the south, Heze and Dingtao District in the north, Shanxian and Chengwu in the east and Dongming and Lankao counties in the west.
In the fourth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (137 1), it was reduced to Cao County, and then it was restored, which is still in use today.
