What kind of institution is the Asian Development Bank?
The Asian Development Bank is called ADB for short. It is a regional financial institution in Asia and the Pacific. Although it is not a subsidiary organ of the United Nations. But it was jointly established by the United Nations Asia and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. It has close ties with the United Nations and its regional institutions. Headquartered in Manila, Philippines. The purpose of the Asian Development Bank is to help developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region eliminate poverty and promote economic and social development in the Asia-Pacific region through development assistance. The Asian Development Bank is actually an institution that mainly provides economic assistance to developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. There are four main forms of assistance: loans, equity investment, technical assistance and joint financing guarantee.
