Qiuxiapu Park is a famous classical garden in the south of China. Located in East Street, Jiading Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, it faces the apartment in the east, the Art Institute in the west, East Street in the south and Qiliang Road in the north. Qiuxiapu Park is a garden with a unique style in Ming Dynasty, which is formed by merging three private gardens in Ming Dynasty: Gongyuan Garden, Shenyuan Garden, Jinyuan Garden and Yimiao (Town God Temple), with a total area of 45.36 mu. The park is divided into four scenic spots: Taohuatan Scenic Spot (formerly Gongjia Garden), Ningxia Pavilion Scenic Spot (formerly Shenjia Garden), Qingjingtang Scenic Spot (formerly Jinjia Garden) and Scenic Spot. Qiuxiapu Park is exquisite in layout, elegant in environment, small and exquisite, with little change in scenery color, as if shrouded in a faint autumn, which makes people full of poetic reverie.
Autumn Xiapu Park, Songjiang Drunken White Pool, Shanghai Yuyuan Garden, Jiading Guyi Garden and Qingpu Qushui Garden are also called the five classical gardens in Shanghai. Most of the buildings in the gardens were built in the Ming Dynasty, while Miao Yi can be traced back to the Song Dynasty. If we calculate the construction time of Miao Yi, it can be called the oldest garden among the five major gardens.
