Provisions on professional qualification system of supervision engineer
Chapter I General Provisions
Article 1 In order to ensure the quality of construction projects, protect the safety of people's lives and property, and give full play to the supervisory role of supervision engineers in the quality, duration and use of construction funds of construction projects, these Provisions are formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Construction Law, the Regulations on the Quality Management of Construction Projects and other laws and regulations and the national vocational qualification system.
Article 2 The term "supervision engineer" as mentioned in these Provisions refers to the professional and technical personnel who have obtained the professional qualification certificates of supervision engineers in People's Republic of China (PRC) and China through professional qualification examinations and engaged in construction project supervision and related business activities after registration.
Article 3 The state establishes the professional qualification of supervision engineer, which is listed in the national professional qualification catalogue.
All units engaged in engineering supervision activities shall be equipped with supervision engineers.

Article 4 The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security jointly formulate the professional qualification system for supervision engineers, and shall be responsible for the implementation and supervision of the professional qualification system for supervision engineers according to the division of responsibilities.
