Wuxue Yangtze River Highway Bridge is located in Wuxue City. Its construction stage is as follows: the starting point of the proposed project is connected with Hangrui Expressway near Qiancheng Cao, and the north route is between lakes, crossing the Yangtze River to Shangzhou in Jiangbei, passing through Laohulin and Huangerdong in the north, crossing Huangnidong Reclamation Area, crossing Meichuan River, and the end point is connected with Huang Huang Expressway near Shang Tao in Wang Si Town, with a total length of 32. 142km.
Wuxue Yangtze River Highway Bridge has been included in the planning of Yangtze River crossing channel and comprehensive traffic planning of Wuhan city circle compiled by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2004. Wuxue and Ruichang are very enthusiastic about the construction of river-crossing highway bridge, but if this passage is planned and built according to the first-class highway and existing policies, it will be difficult for local governments to implement it for a long time, especially the construction of river-crossing bridge. If this passage is included in the national highway network planning to promote the rise of central China, it can apply to the Ministry of Communications for financial subsidies, which is beneficial to the project construction.
Therefore, Wuxue Municipal People's Government reported to the provincial government in February 2009 with Wuxue Zheng Wen [2009] No.4 document, and Huanggang Municipal People's Government specifically asked the Provincial Development and Reform Commission for instructions in February 2009 with Huanggang Zheng Han [2009] No.8 document, requesting that the highway from Huangchuan, Henan Province to Ruichang, Jiangxi Province be included in the highway construction plan of the central region. The provincial government reported it to the regional division of the National Development and Reform Commission in March 2009.

At the meeting, the Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute introduced and explained the starting and ending points of Mayang expressway and the scheme of Wuxue Yangtze River Bridge. Wuxue City and Macheng City put forward their own opinions and suggestions on the scheme. Xiong Changjiang requested that the relevant units should fully realize the significance of the project construction, adhere to a scientific attitude, fully consider long-term planning, road network structure, regional drive, construction economy and other factors in site selection, and make good preparations for the project.
Mayang expressway planning starts from Macheng section of Mazhu expressway in Hu Rong in the north and ends in Hangrui expressway in the south. With the joint efforts of the Provincial Department of Transportation and Huanggang City, the project has entered the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of transportation in our province and is in the planning and implementation stage. It is divided into two projects: Wuxue Yangtze River Bridge (from Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway to Hangrui Expressway) and Macheng-Wuxue Section of Mayang Expressway. The relevant preliminary work has been entrusted to the Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute. After the completion of this project, it will further improve the highway skeleton network in the eastern part of our province, which has important strategic significance for promoting regional economic development.
On the morning of 2011February15th, the signing ceremony of the preliminary work agreement of expressway Wuxue Yangtze River Bridge in Mayang was held in Wuxue City. Standing Committee member and deputy mayor of Huanggang Municipal Committee, Standing Committee member and deputy mayor of Huangshi Municipal Committee, Ye attended the signing ceremony, and assistant mayor of Huanggang presided over the ceremony. Liu Xinhua, director of Huanggang Municipal Transportation Bureau, main party and government leaders of Wuxue City and Yangxin County, and heads of relevant departments attended the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, Wu Meijing, mayor of Wuxue City, and Kong Fanxin, county magistrate of Yangxin County signed the Agreement between Wuxue Municipal People's Government and Yangxin County People's Government on the Preliminary Work of Wuxue Yangtze River Highway Bridge.
In October1211710, the feasibility study report of Wuxue Yangtze River Highway Bridge passed the preliminary examination in the province, and the estimated construction period is 48 months. This project is constructed according to highway standards, and the design speed is100 km/h.
Wuxue Yangtze River Bridge is one of the key projects in the planning of the new cross-river passage of the Yangtze River trunk line in the Comprehensive Three-dimensional Traffic Corridor Planning of the Yangtze River Economic Belt (20 14-2020). Wuxue City, Hubei Province is located in the adjacent areas of two provinces (Hubei and Jiangxi) and three places (Huanggang, Huangshi and Jiujiang), and is connected with Ruichang City. The total investment of the project is estimated to be about 5.875 billion yuan, and the total length of the route is about 3 1.223km, of which the Yangtze River Bridge is about 433 1m (main bridge 1.328m), and the wiring at Wuxue side and Yangxin side is about 1. 1 km and respectively. Most of the roads of the newly-built Wuxue Yangtze River Bridge are located in Hubei Province. The design, bidding and construction of this bridge are undertaken by the Hubei Provincial Department of Transportation, but in the early design, our province also participated in related work. The project is of great significance for improving the layout of the Yangtze River passage, strengthening the economic and traffic links between Hubei and Jiangxi provinces, promoting the integrated development of regional resources and promoting the economic and social development of the old revolutionary base areas.
On June 25-26, 20 15, the construction headquarters of Jiaotou Yangtze River Bridge in Hubei Province conducted the first site reconnaissance, and inspected the alternate headquarters and the sites on the north and south banks of the bridge. This marks the official start of the Wuxue Yangtze River Bridge project. It is understood that the site reconnaissance organized by the construction headquarters of Wuxue Yangtze River Bridge in Jiaotou, Hubei Province aims to fully understand the preparatory work for the project construction and quickly promote the project construction. The construction of Wuxue Yangtze River Highway Bridge is of great strategic significance for Wuxue to integrate into the "Belt and Road" strategy, connect with the "Middle Triangle" urban agglomeration, completely break the "bottleneck" of Wuxue traffic pattern and realize scientific leap-forward development.
