Weifang Diesel Engine Factory was formally established on 1953, and it is one of the earliest diesel engine manufacturers in China.
From 1950s to early 1980s, Chai Wei Factory successively developed and produced various types of medium-speed diesel engines ranging from 565, 438+0 kW to 99 kW.
1984, the State Development Planning Commission of China and the State Economic Commission of China determined that Wei Chai factory was one of the designated factories for developing and producing Steyr WD6 15 series diesel engines. In the same year, the State Economic Commission issued the "Reply on Agreeing to Change the Subordinate Relationship of Weichai Factory", which confirmed that Weichai Factory was one of the designated diesel engines for heavy vehicles.
1989 10, the production line in Wei Chai successfully passed the completion acceptance organized by the state, and the WD6 15 series diesel engines for heavy vehicles were put into production in the same year.
1990, 1992 and 1994, Chai Wei Factory developed and introduced different types of WD6 15 series diesel engines, which were used in generator sets, construction machinery and ships.
1995, Wei Chai factory passed the ISO900 1 quality system certification. In the same year, we reached an agreement with Steyr to introduce the production technology of WD6 15 series diesel engines.
1999 10, Chai Wei Factory acquired Sichuan Changjiang Diesel Engine Factory, which expanded the production capacity of WD6 15 series diesel engines.
In May, 2000, WD6 18 series diesel engines for heavy vehicles were put on the market.
In 200 1 year, Wei Chai factory successfully developed and launched WD6 15 and WD6 18 series diesel engines which meet the European I standard.
In 2002, Wei Chai Factory improved the WD6 15 series diesel engines to meet the Euro II standard.
On February 23, 2002/KLOC-0, Chai Wei Factory established Weichai Power Co., Ltd. with the operating assets, liabilities and cash contributions related to the production and sale of WD6 15 and WD6 18 series diesel engines, in conjunction with other cash injection promoters.
In March 2003, the WD6 18 series diesel engines of Weichai Power Co., Ltd. successfully reached the Euro II standard. In August 2003, the company was approved as a high-tech enterprise by the Science and Technology Department of Shandong Province.
On March 1 2004, Weichai Power passed the ISO/TS 16949 quality management system certification, becoming the first diesel engine manufacturer in China to pass the certification.
On March 1 1 day, 2004, Weichai Power (stock number 2338) was listed on the main board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with remarkable achievements.
In September, 2004, Weichai Power won the "Top 2003 Core Competitiveness of China Machinery Enterprises 100".
