Project overview
The route starts from tuanjie village, Bird's Nest Town, honghu city, and connects with Honghu section of expressway, the ring road of Wuhan city circle under construction. After crossing the Yangtze River, it stops at Xinjie Town, Jiayu County, and is connected with the west section of Xianning, expressway, which is under construction. The total length is about 4.7 kilometers, of which the main bridge crossing the Yangtze River is 1.75 kilometers long and the main span is 920 meters. It is the largest asymmetric hybrid beam cable-stayed bridge in the world at present.
The whole line is constructed according to the standard of two-way six-lane expressway, with the design speed of 100km/h and the bridge width of 33.5 m (excluding cable laying area). Bridge and culvert design adopts highway first-class load grade.
Project importance
Jiayu Yangtze River Highway Bridge is the control project of expressway, the ring road of Wuhan city circle. The construction of the bridge is of great significance for connecting expressway, perfecting the expressway network in Hubei Province, optimizing the layout of the river-crossing passage in expressway, alleviating the transit traffic pressure of Shanghai, Chongqing, Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao and expressway, strengthening the connection among the three densely developed coordination areas of Xianchijia, Xianqiantian and Xiaoyan, promoting regional economic and social development and accelerating the construction of Wuhan city circle.
For a long time, the traffic between Jianghan Plain and Mufu Mountain has suffered from the natural barrier of the Yangtze River. It is time-consuming and laborious to bypass Wuhan in the north and Yueyang in the south. After the completion of Jiayu Yangtze River Bridge, it will not only promote the high-speed connection of Wuhan city circle ring road, optimize the layout of expressway river-crossing passage, and relieve the traffic pressure of Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, but also strengthen the mutual connection and coordinated development between Jianghan Plain and Shogunate Mountain Area, and drive the local economy onto the fast lane.
project investment
The total investment of the project is estimated to be about 3.04 billion yuan (static investment is 2.7 billion yuan), of which the project capital is 760 million yuan, accounting for about 25% of the total investment, which is made up of 34%, 1%, 20% and 20% by Hubei Communications Investment Co., Ltd., Hubei Communications Planning and Design Institute, Sichuan Road and Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd., China Communications Second Highway Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. and Hubei Chutian expressway Co., Ltd. The remaining 2.28 billion yuan was financed by domestic bank loans.
Project progress
On April 2, 20 15, the National Development and Reform Commission approved Jiayu Yangtze River Highway Bridge.
On February 23, 20 16, Jiayu Yangtze River Highway Bridge was officially started.
