Beijing West Railway Station, also known as Beijing West Railway Station, is located in Fengtai District, Beijing, China. It is a special station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Beijing Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and an important part of Beijing Railway Hub. Beijing West Railway Station opened on June199665438+1October 2 1, and was once one of the largest modern railway passenger stations in Asia. Beijing West Railway Station was expanded in the second half of 2003 and 2005, and the Beijing Underground Diameter Line connecting Beijing Railway Station was completed on 20 15.
The construction idea of Beijing West Railway Station was basically formed as early as 1950, from 1975 to 1976, 198 1 to 1985 and 1989 in history.
1September, 1960, in the revised general plan of Beijing Railway Hub, the idea at that time was that Beijing West Railway Station and Beijing Railway Station were the main passenger stations of the Hub, and they could be connected by a four-line parallel underground tunnel in the center of Beijing, and the station of the West Railway Station was opposite to the Princess Tomb. Accordingly, the Beijing Municipal Government reserved the land near the Lotus Pond, which was then a suburb, in the overall urban planning. Therefore, the Hetang area has long been a warehouse area dominated by simple bungalows, and no permanent buildings have been built.
