Ashoka Pagoda, commonly known as Baita, is the original orchard temple in Daixian County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, and is now located in the northeast of the county government. National key cultural relics protection units. Built in the first year of Sui Renshou (60 1), it was originally a wooden tower. In the second year of Jin Xingding (12 18), Yuan soldiers went south, Zhou people set themselves on fire, and in the twelfth year of Yuan (1275), they were converted into brick towers. The Ashoka Tower is conical, with the shape of a Buddha, and is 40 meters high. The base plane is rectangular. The tower was built in the center of the base. The plane of the tower seat is round, with lotus petals and sumitomo style, which is astringent and square. The tower is built with a curved foot-shaped base of Mount Sumi, with a brake lever, a cover plate and a golden dome in the middle. It has a beautiful outline, is steady and tall, and has superb brick carving art. It is a masterpiece of Tibetan towers in China.
Ashoka Tower was renovated in 2006.
On June 25th, 20001year, Ashoka Tower was included in the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
