According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Yancheng, known as Du Yan in ancient times, is also known as Piaocheng, Deng Ying and Baihe. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province and a central city in the Yangtze River Delta. It is located in the east coast of China, the east of Jiangsu Province, the Yellow Sea in the east, Nantong in the south, Yangzhou and Taizhou in the southwest, Huai 'an in the northwest, Guanhe and Lianyungang in the north. The city is a plain landform, which is the transition zone from tropical climate in North Asia to warm temperate climate. By the end of 2022, the city had jurisdiction over 3 districts and 5 counties, managed 1 county-level cities, with a total area of 1, 693 1 square kilometer and a permanent population of 6,689,700.

Yancheng was built in the county in the sixth year of Western Han Dynasty (20 1 year). In the 9th year of Jin 'an Emperor Yixi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (4 13), it was renamed Yancheng County. Yancheng has the only world natural heritage in Jiangsu, China Yellow Sea (Bohai Sea) migratory bird habitat, with convenient land, sea and air transportation, and basically formed a five-in-one three-dimensional transportation network of expressway, railway, aviation, shipping and inland river shipping. Nanyang International Airport, Yancheng Port Dafeng Port Area, Binhai Port Area, Sheyang Port Area and Xiangshui Port Area have become national first-class open ports, become prefecture-level cities with two first-class open ports, namely airport and seaport, and are the intersection of national coastal development and Yangtze River Delta integration. There are two national nature reserves, Red-crowned Crane and Elk, and a Chinese sturgeon nature reserve under construction.
