Research on information management of construction engineering?

1 Introduction Today's world is a world of information explosion. With the increasing popularity of information technology, network technology and computer technology, all kinds of overwhelming huge information flows follow. It is obviously impossible to continue to adopt the traditional management mode and method. Office network informatization has become a key measure to improve management efficiency and quality in all walks of life. Of course, the management of construction projects should closely focus on this iconic product, quickly integrate with international standards, give full play to one of the symbols representing modern management methods-information management, and strive to do a good job in information management of construction projects. This paper briefly analyzes the present situation of information management of construction projects in China, and puts forward some humble opinions and countermeasures. 2 The current situation of informatization management of construction projects in China Generally speaking, the informatization level of construction units in China is still low. At present, most construction projects still adopt extensive management mode, which is not only simple but also chaotic. There are widespread phenomena such as unfounded decision-making, repeated reporting and omission, slapping the head and giving orders, and the degree of informatization is very low. Although the current construction projects have more participants, more complex investments and more investments than in the past, they are basically managed in accordance with the old methods. (1) Most domestic companies don't have a deep understanding of informatization. They only think that informatization management can be realized by sending and receiving emails and surfing the Internet. However, there is no concept about the core functions of informatization, such as real-time monitoring of projects, standardization of workflow, strengthening of organization and coordination, planning and scheduling of resources, prediction of engineering changes, actual calculation of engineering costs, suggestions of engineering early warning, and identification of engineering risks. On the one hand, the attitude towards informatization is willing to adopt it, on the other hand, it is worried that it will cause extra workload. (2) With the fierce market competition, the informatization level of the construction unit is also improving year by year. More and more construction units have turned their attention to informatization, and some high-rise or large-scale units have even established local area networks to share data resources within the units. At the same time, some engineering management software has also become one of the concerns of the construction unit. (3) In economically developed areas, due to the rich information sources, managers of construction projects have a deep understanding of information management, while managers in economically underdeveloped or remote areas have a relatively weak understanding of information management. From the industry point of view, the informatization popularization and application foundation of municipal construction projects is better than that of highway construction projects, while the informatization popularization and application of railway construction projects is the worst. In short, the information management of construction projects still has the characteristics of regional imbalance. (4) Compared with foreign famous software, domestic project management software is still in an immature state and there is a certain gap. However, foreign software may not be suitable for domestic units, especially the organizational structure of domestic and foreign units is different, so the application scope of software is also different accordingly. However, domestic software only translates foreign languages into Chinese, so it is still difficult to maintain it effectively. In addition, most of these foreign softwares are expensive and cannot be accepted by general construction units. 3. Information management strategy of construction engineering 3. 1 Information system integration Due to the influence of the workflow of the construction industry, a large number of industry, local and national quotas are adopted in the process of project approval and bidding for construction projects, resulting in complex management system and large amount of data calculation. Therefore, how to use the standard flexibly is the content that all construction units must pay attention to, and it is also the main basis for project cost calculation. In the project implementation process of the construction unit, it involves capital accounting, planning progress, quality and safety, norm cost, materials and equipment, personnel management, design change, subcontracting management, etc. These are all elements that can't be ignored in project management. Therefore, the development and use of construction engineering information system must consider the above effects. In the process of data center establishment and process reengineering, it is necessary to break through the limitations of individual application of various departments, scientifically and organically link the contents, realize joint monitoring of various business modules, effectively coordinate the working relationship between construction departments and related units, and finally form an all-round and full-process working environment. 3.2 Multi-layer management platform involves the interests of the construction unit, design, supervision, superior management authority and local government, and involves many links such as site construction management, contract management, budget management, mechanical material management and financial management. Therefore, the information management of construction projects should also fully consider the different needs of different participants, so as to establish a multi-level network information platform and software system including remote monitoring, on-site construction management, unit intelligence and knowledge management, and multi-party coordination of projects. And can automatically generate its data for different subjects, and realize the information management of various resources. 3.3 Strengthening the adaptability of project management In construction projects, highway projects and railway projects are greatly influenced by environmental factors such as weather changes and geological conditions, while housing projects and municipal projects are greatly restricted by the requirements of urban construction permit time, weather changes and environmental protection, which will affect or even determine the investment and progress of engineering resources, and at the same time improve the difficulty of cost prediction and weaken the accuracy of cost analysis. Therefore, the construction engineering information system should have the function of setting construction parameters, so that users can customize relevant parameters according to the environment in which the project is located, so that the system operation is more in line with reality and the accuracy of feedback information is improved; At the same time, in the construction project management, under the premise of ensuring the quality and safety of the project, managers are most concerned about the cost and progress of the project. Therefore, the system should also establish the connection between cost control and project progress, so as to provide the actual cost in project management in time according to the completed engineering quantity, and compare the budgeted cost with the actual cost in real time, so as to put forward cost control suggestions and predict the development trend of cost. In addition, because the project management will directly face the site construction, the interface of the system should be designed as convenient and concise as possible, reducing the workload of data input, strengthening various operation prompts of data input, and setting functions to avoid misoperation. 3.4 The management process of workflow digitization project is actually the process of data transmission and flow among all participants in the project. In the traditional management mode, information is repeated slowly by fax, telephone and written notice. However, a single link of information can only be completed through the cooperation of relevant departments, which reduces the economy, effectiveness and timeliness of information transmission. In order to prevent overlapping and duplication of work and improve the speed of information transmission, and to strengthen the quality of information transmission, the information system of the project must implement data management, and the contents and responsibilities of the project participants are also based on data management, so that as long as everyone does their personal work in the project, the system will automatically realize business flow. 3.5 Real-time engineering database At present, the domestic construction market generally adopts the method of compiling bidding quotation according to the budgetary estimate published by the construction unit or design unit, which actually reflects the quota of the construction unit. Excluding market occupation, vicious competition and other factors, the bid price is actually the highest cost that the unit can bear. In fact, the project under construction undertakes many functions, such as accumulating the actual cost of similar projects, accumulating project management experience, establishing the reputation of the construction unit, evaluating contractors and so on. Therefore, the construction project information system should be equipped with general material library, template, supplier and contractor database and various contract templates that meet the quota of the construction unit. Users can maintain and delete them according to the needs of the site, and it is also conducive to the reference and direct call of other projects. Conclusion In recent years, information management of construction projects has been carried out in various fields. In many representative construction projects, a large number of information management systems with their own characteristics have been effectively applied. These systems have begun to play an obvious role in optimizing the workflow in the application process, and also played a key role in improving the project management situation, improving the project management level and monitoring the project cost. However, at present, the difficulty of information management of construction projects in China lies in the fact that the task decomposition consistency is far from meeting the requirements, and the information system in construction projects can not be seamlessly connected with the industry software and general systems currently used, especially a typical quota library or quota system that can reflect the real management cost of construction units has not yet been established.
