Teaching support refers to supporting the management of primary and secondary education in backward areas. The national plan of voluntary service for college students in western China is jointly organized and implemented by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Personnel. Since 2003, a certain number of fresh graduates from ordinary colleges and universities (hereinafter referred to as "colleges and universities") have been recruited every year to work in poverty-stricken counties and towns in western China for 1-2 years. After the expiration of volunteer service, encourage them to take root at the grass-roots level, or choose their own jobs or move around for employment.
Teaching introduction:
(1) If you are a fresh graduate, you can participate in the "Volunteer Service for College Students in the West Plan" jointly sponsored by the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the Ministry of Education. This program began in 2003, when you taught in this way.
According to the policy, all students majoring in normal education who were admitted to six normal universities directly under the Ministry of Education in 2007 must sign basic teaching agreements with the schools. For example, Shaanxi Normal University has issued a supporting policy: freshmen majoring in normal education in 2007 are obliged to teach in rural primary and secondary schools in the west for three years while enjoying free education. During the teaching period, students can go back to school to study for a master's degree in education during the winter and summer vacations, get a master's diploma during the teaching period, or continue their studies after the teaching. After the teaching, the state will provide special job fairs for graduates to choose their own destinations; In addition, the state has also taken into account the housing, marriage, children and other issues when graduates teach, and corresponding policies will be introduced one after another.
College student volunteers who participate in the "Western Plan" can enjoy the following policies in addition to the preferential employment policies for college graduates stipulated by the state:
First, the central government provides necessary living allowances (including transportation subsidies, personal accident injuries and hospitalization medical insurance) during service. The living allowance is 600 yuan/person per month (800 yuan/person per month for those who serve in Tibet), and the transportation allowance is RMB 1 ,000 per person per year (those who serve in Tibet and Xinjiang shall be determined separately according to relevant state regulations).

In addition, colleges and universities and all sectors of society are encouraged to provide help and support for the work, life, study, employment and entrepreneurship of college graduates.
Volunteers who participate in the western plan enjoy eight policy supports stipulated in the Notice of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Personnel on Implementing the Plan of Volunteer Service for College Students in the West (Zhongqinglianfa [2003] No.26). Relevant policies have been further clarified, and some new policies are as follows:
1. After the service expires 1 year, those who pass the examination and apply for graduate students will get a total score of 10; If the policies issued by colleges and universities are favorable to this policy, refer to the policies of colleges and universities; Priority admission under the same conditions.
2. After1year of service, you can apply for civil servants of state organs as college graduates. Those who apply for the central state organs and civil servants in the eastern and central regions will be given priority under the same conditions; Those who apply for civil servants in the western region have a total written test score of 5 points.

5. If it is really difficult to apply for a student loan during the school period and repay the loan during the on-the-job period, colleges and universities should actively coordinate with banks and other relevant parties to help them delay repayment.
6. Conditional colleges and universities can use some scholarships to encourage and guide college graduates to volunteer at the grassroots level in the west.
Volunteers who take part in special actions such as "National Pilot Project of Modern Distance Education for Cadres in Rural party member", "Publicity and Cultural Project of Hundreds of Counties and Thousands of Townships" and Volunteer Service Action of Grassroots Procuratorates in the West enjoy the same policy treatment.
(2) If you are a fresh graduate, you can also participate in teaching activities organized by the province. In fact, all provinces have implemented it in their own province after imitating the western plan of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. Now it seems that there are both Heilongjiang and Jilin. Generally, such information is available on the website of the Provincial Youth League Committee, so you can have a look.
(3) If you are a fresh graduate, you can also participate in the activities of the postgraduate support group organized by our school. Generally, you will go to graduate school when you come back from teaching. You have to consult your own department.
(4) On-the-job workers can join the "Relay Plan for Poverty Alleviation" of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. Usually you will serve for six months to two years. I don't know much about this. You can consult the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League.
(5) If there are certain conditions, you can also find a poor school in the west to realize teaching.
It is usually necessary to apply for an organized plan, such as the western plan, and go to work after passing the medical examination and training. The projects of the western plan are located in the youth league committees of universities.
Attention should also be paid to safety in teaching in the western region. The following are some guidelines for teaching in the western region:
I. Preparations before departure
1. Physical examination: Go to the municipal 3A hospital for a general physical examination to ensure that there are no diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, infectious diseases, hyperthyroidism and epilepsy. And whether it is suitable for going to the plateau according to the doctor's advice.
2. Personal insurance: personal accident insurance and accident medical insurance should be insured by local insurance companies, and the insurance period should meet the requirements of teaching time and business trip time.
3. Preparation of drugs: Teaching staff should prepare as many commonly used drugs as possible, such as cold medicine, anti-inflammatory drugs, gastrointestinal drugs, aspirin, analgesics, eye drops (water), respiratory drugs, self-medication, etc. In addition, some vitamins (vc and vb6, mainly to stop vomiting), ginseng buccal tablets, sunscreen cream, drugs to enhance human immunity and endurance, etc. should be properly prepared. These drugs can be used not only in the western regions, but also for local people, which has greatly narrowed the relationship with local people.
4, physical and psychological preparation: the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is cold and oxygen-deficient, and the human body is prone to fatigue. Therefore, physical endurance exercise, such as swimming and long-distance running, should be strengthened before departure, but it is not easy to increase the amount of exercise within one month before departure. The natural scenery of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is desolate, primitive and beautiful, but if you want to live there for a long time, it is easy to feel lonely and helpless. Therefore, getting to know more before departure and reducing the mystery and expectation there will help the faculty and staff adapt to the humanistic environment there faster and better.
5. Carry-on clothes: The climatic conditions in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are harsh, and it may even snow in July and August every year. Therefore, warm clothes such as down jackets and sleeping bags should be prepared before departure, and it is best to bring outdoor products such as moisture-proof mats, jackets and hiking shoes to cope with the harsh climate there.
6. Know the local customs there. The more you know, the safer you will be, and the more you will enjoy your teaching life.
Second, the safety precautions during the journey
Please refer to the regulations of public security organs. Although the faculty and staff have a sincere desire to provide selfless help to people in the western region, the thief doesn't know. So be sure to remember that safety comes first during the journey.
Three. Safety measures in teaching in western China
During the activities in the western region, the most important safety measure is to understand and respect the local religious beliefs and customs. When you are outdoors, you should be accompanied by someone you can trust locally. The significance of companionship is to prevent personal injury caused by cold and lack of oxygen and harsh natural conditions.
1. Respect the religious beliefs and living habits of local people. You can ask if you don't understand. Learning more local languages and learning more about local habits can make you safer and better integrated into their lives. Here are some Tibetan rules:
1) When eating meat, point the blade at yourself and never point it at others unless you want to hit this Tibetan brother.
2) When a Tibetan makes a toast, if he can't drink it, he can index his glass with his right hand and flick it into the air three times to show that he has accepted his kindness.
3) When going to a Tibetan family, you must ask the owner's permission. After entering the room, don't check every room, just sit in the place designated by the host. The stove can't be moved casually. The washbasin can only be used to wash your face. If you want to wash your feet without a special footbath, you need to bring your own, otherwise you will have to wash them in the snow.
4) When visiting or playing in religious places, you must be respectful. Some things may be insignificant to you, but they are sacred to lamas and Tibetans, so please don't touch or take pictures at will.
5) Don't touch the heads of Tibetan children just because you like them. Only with the blessing of the living Buddha can you touch them.
6) If you accept more Hada, please don't throw it away at will. You can hang it on the prayer flag you see.
7) Don't talk about political and religious issues. If you go to a Tibetan brother's house or temple, don't point your finger at the Buddha statue, don't take pictures without permission, and don't aim at the Buddha statue.
8) Others
2. Don't drink. Especially when you first arrive at the plateau, don't drink alcohol, otherwise it will easily lead to altitude sickness. Once this happens, it may mean that your teaching activities will be terminated. This will bring a lot of trouble.
3. Don't do strenuous exercise. I'd rather stand and watch others work than try to be brave and overdraw my strength. If you are embarrassed, you can cover up your shyness by breathing.
4. Don't act alone. You can act alone in the village during the day, but you must be accompanied outside the village. It is absolutely forbidden to act alone at night, and all outdoor activities must be accompanied, even if you go to the toilet. Bogey: There are many wild animals in some areas, especially carnivores such as wolves, which are more active in winter and even go to roadside and villages to look for food.
5. Girls should pay attention to their own safety. Don't act alone, let alone sleep at night. Compatriots of all ethnic groups have different understandings of gender relations, so please always pay attention to protecting your own safety.
6. Learn more local languages. This will bring you many benefits. "
Personal opinion, I hope I can help you.
I wish the teaching success.
