Twain/Liu Hongan Surrounded by mountains 30 kilometers northeast of lingwu city, there is a thousand-year-old temple located in and outside the famous area, which is one of the four famous temples in Ningxia, Maanshan Karejing. The name of Ma 'anshan is legendary. Di Qing, a general of the Northern Song Dynasty, confronted the Xixia Army in Hengcheng area when he was on the Western Expedition. At that time, Song Jun lacked manpower and food. In a dilemma, Di Qing was inspired by Guanyin Bodhisattva. The next day, Di Qing ordered soldiers to build straw mats on the hillside and dress up as grain haystacks; Countless saddles were scattered on the hillside; He also scattered horse manure into the Yellow River and went down the river. At that time, the Xixia army couldn't figure out the military situation of Song Bing, only saw mountains of hay and saddles in Song Jun. While drinking horses, they saw horse manure floating in the Yellow River and guessed that Song Jun had enough hay. The leader of Xixia tribe immediately ordered to retreat, and Di Qing's team pursued and won a great victory. In order to thank the Bodhisattva for his emergency, Di Qing expanded the ancient temple and named it Kanluoji, hence the name Maanshan. Kanluoji's building, the wall of Kanluoji courtyard, is built on the mountain, covering an area of about 30,000 square meters. The building is located in the north and south, distributed on a central axis, overlapping up and down. There are many plastic Buddha statues in the front, middle and back halls. Tourists climb the stairs and walk through the hall step by step. Bodhisattva Peak is built at the northern end of the mountain, with steep terrain and magnificent momentum. It is a three-story building, shaped like an extension of the palace, located on the top of the mountain, with dense eaves. Four-way high platform, double eaves leaning against the mountain, jade stepping bucket arch, vermilion column, resplendent and magnificent. In the east of the temple yard, there is a "multi-pagoda" brick tower about 7 meters high and a brick tower in which many monks died. The history of Kanluoji Ma 'anshan Kanluoji was founded in the Northern Song Dynasty. According to Jiaqing's Records of Lingzhou, Ma 'anshan, the name of Lingzhou Mountain, is five miles northeast of Guangzhou, and it is named after its saddle shape. During the Cultural Revolution, two tombstones were found in the demolished brick tower. The inscription recorded that Kanluoji was built in the Ming Dynasty and was originally named Kanroji. In the sixth year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1667), a Guangdong monk passed by and saw the temple in disrepair, so he raised money everywhere to rebuild it, which was presided over by Qingyang monk Benjing. 1923 was renamed as Kanluoji after reconstruction and expansion. The temple was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. From 65438 to 0980, the party's religious policy was implemented, and Buddhist groups such as Jiexin, Miaofa, Faliang and Fahui were rebuilt successively. Kanluoji Temple Fair Every year on the eighth day of April and the fifteenth day of July in the lunar calendar, Kanluoji in Maanshan will hold a traditional temple fair, among which the temple fair on the eighth day of April is the most grand. A Buddhist monk with ancestral home in Guangdong was once presided over by Kanluoji. He spent his whole life as a Buddhist monk, and died at the age of 97 after three years of Qing Shunzhi (1646). According to the stone tablet records, in the fifth year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1666), Li Fa, a monk in Qingyang, Gansu, made a vow to build a small temple with the Cantonese monks, collect water, dig ancient wells and build a forest temple to receive pedestrians from all directions. Before liberation, Kanluoji presided over the activities of Sheng Kuan, Ren Jie, Guo Fang and others. After 1980, Jiexin and Monk were presided over by Kanluoji. Wutai Mountain was inspired by Buddhist precepts. In order to rebuild Kanluoji, it demolished its own house, donated all its possessions, and personally burned bricks, tiles and quarries with all the monks, building three main halls and 36 wings. Nowadays, pilgrims and tourists come here one after another, overlooking Kanluoji, which is magnificent.
