On this day, go south along the 365 provincial highway, turn left at Shenwan Hospital before crossing Doumen Bridge, and it won't take long to enter the main producing area of Shenwan pineapple: Jiyashan. A cement path with a length of 1.3 km and a width of four or five meters leads to the pineapple garden in Yaji Mountain, which was built by the local government in the summer of 200 1 year to solve the difficulty of fruit transportation.
Wild flowers and green grass can be seen everywhere along the road, and even a lovely lizard has been lying on the rock for a long time, which makes people daydream. The stream coming down the mountain is crystal clear, pebbles cross the bottom of the water obliquely, and the stream is as clear as jade. Blue sky, white clouds, green hills, birds, all leisure and elegance, all quietly generate in such a soothing morning.
May is also the ripe season for pineapples. Many famous Shenwan pineapples grow on this beautiful Ji Ya Mountain.
The main peak of Ji Ya is 386 meters above sea level, which is the highest point in shenwan town. It is called Jiya Mountain, because its peak is much higher than the surrounding peaks, and it looks like a bun on my daughter's head from a distance. This Shandong province is 3. 1km long in the west, 2.5km wide in the north and south, with an area of 7.75km2. The surface layer is sandy yellow soil, which is especially suitable for pineapple growth. According to historical records, during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Jiya Mountain was also one of the guerrilla activities in Wugui Mountain. At that time, this area was undulating with dense forests, which happened to be an important strategic place to hide guerrillas against Japanese devils. Relying on the favorable terrain, the guerrillas in Wuguishan frequently attacked, broke the Japanese strongholds, annihilated the Japanese army, and seized a number of excellent enemy weapons, which greatly boosted the morale of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
In fact, there is an iron furnace mountain rich in pineapples on the west side of Shagang Village. This mountain is very interesting. The west belongs to shenwan town and the east belongs to tanzhou town. Its mountain shape is like an iron anchor. It was once called Iron Anchor Mountain. Later, a big stone resembling an iron furnace was found on the mountain, so it was renamed Iron Furnace Mountain.
In the early 1990s, the tide of industrialization surged to a high level. In order to attract investment and develop Shenwan Industrial Zone, most of the land in Shagang Village was expropriated. In this case, the way out for some villagers with lower education level or older age becomes a problem. The local government decided to guide villagers into the mountains and vigorously develop pineapple-based fruit cultivation. Subsequently, the local government issued relevant policies to encourage farmers to develop gentle slopes below 45 degrees and plant pineapple, litchi and other fruits on a large scale. Shenwan pineapple is developed under such a background.
Fruit farmers in Shagang village are picking pineapples. Shagang village, as its name implies, has a lot of sand in the soil, which is most suitable for pineapple growth. Coupled with the suitable climate, it can produce famous pineapples.
Shagang people, the earliest planter of pineapple in Shenwan.
Pineapple, whose peel pattern is raised like a phoenix hair pattern, is also called pineapple, because its leaves are prickly like saws, which is also called "Lezai" in Cantonese. Chen Jianqiang, president of the local pineapple association, told the author that Shenwan pineapple has a history of 90 years. 19 15, Li Guohan, who lives in Peru, successfully brought the seeds back to his hometown for trial planting, and then gradually popularized them and became a local specialty.
At present, there are more than 250 pineapple growers in shenwan town, covering an area of more than 2,300 mu, mainly distributed in Shenxi Village (Shagang Village), Younan Village and Seaport Village Mountain Area. Shenwan pineapple, a special brand, won the title of pollution-free agricultural products in Guangdong Province and applied for a national registered trademark. As early as half a century ago, Shenwan pineapple has been selling well in Hong Kong, Macao and even exported to Southeast Asia until today.
The pineapple garden around Jiya Mountain consists of pineapple tree about half a meter high, which is similar to terraced fields. From the mountainside to the foot of the mountain, it looks spectacular. At the foot of the mountain, pineapple is generally intercropped with mango and litchi, and various fruit varieties have formed a veritable big orchard. Walking up the mountain road, I seem to smell the mature breath of mango, litchi and pineapple on both sides.
After long-term selection and cultivation, the pineapple produced in Shenwan is golden in color, thin in skin and thick in flesh, crisp and residue-free, sweet and sour. The simple local fruit farmers saw the guests coming and said nothing. After picking, cutting and cutting, pineapples can be delivered to your mouth in two or three minutes. Watching the fresh pineapple picked in your hand, you can take a few bites of the fruity fragrance lingering between your teeth and cheeks for a long time.
The fruit grower said that there are two varieties of Shenwan pineapple. One is old, and the fruit is very big, which makes people feel numb. There is no race now. Another variety, the "Jinshan variety" now planted, produces pineapple fruit with shallow eyes and edible stone, which does not need to be dipped in salt water at all.
The clear mountains and streams (top) and the beautiful chameleon (bottom) reveal the nature and purity of this land.
Defend fruit
The fruit farmers who grow pineapples up the mountain with us are all forty or fifty years old. They spent most of their lives planting pineapples on the Ji Ya Mountain, stepping on slippery sand up and down the mountain every month, sweating all over the pineapple fields, and planting the famous Shenwan pineapple.
Looking at this pineapple field all over the mountains and plains, I am as kind and simple as these simple fruit farmers around me, and suddenly understand that fame and essence are not the same thing.
But the fruit farmers think differently from what we think. We admire the beauty of terraced fields and the sweetness of pineapples; In the face of these huge pineapples, except for the accumulated feelings, the rest are all bitter and helpless.
"Pineapple is a race over 40 years old. When we get old, pineapples will be extinct. This job is very difficult! Pineapples are also cheap. "
The fruit grower's words discouraged our interest in seeing new things, and I once again thought of the difference between fame and reality. If one day the famous Shenwan pineapple really disappears, what a pity!
Fruit farmers have planted the legendary Shenwan pineapple, but who will protect these fruits and protect the brand? I'm afraid this is beyond the power of hardworking farmers. (Zhan Qilin)
What is the authentic Shenwan pineapple in the pineapple market now? Local fruit farmers said that the identification method is actually very simple, that is, a fruit stalk is attached to the tail of Shenwan pineapple (the fruit stalk specially left by fruit farmers when picking is convenient for people to grasp when peeling) (as shown in the red line above). The skin of pineapple is green and yellow, because it is naturally mature and asymmetrical, which is not available in other varieties of pineapple.
As for the popular saying that "a small pineapple is a Shenwan pineapple" in recent years, this is a misinformation. For example, the pineapples produced in this area this year weigh 1 kg on average.
