Jimo is adjacent to the foggy Yellow Sea in the east, belonging to the coastal warm temperate monsoon climate. The beautiful climate has brought abundant vitality to nature and brought too many benefits to mankind. There is no heat in summer, no cold in winter, and four distinct seasons. Annual average temperature 12℃, precipitation 750.4 mm, relative humidity 69%, sunshine hours 2726.4 hours.
Under the sky are the blue sea, green hills and land, and winding rivers. 183 km coastline, like a beautiful ribbon, cleverly separates and connects land and sea; Along this beautiful curve, you can enjoy the coastal geographical scenery of Jimo. On sunny days, T-Bay, Hengmen Bay, Aoshan Bay and Xiaodao Bay are beautiful and lovely. Nudao Port, Taiping Port, Kaotou Port and Qigou Port are filled with the excitement and joy of human life in the exciting fish season. As for more than 20 islands such as Tian Heng Island, Daguan Island, Baima Island and Malong Island, they lie in the blue waves, such as cattle and horses, or ochre or black, each with its own strong points and an "unspeakable" beauty. However, the most practical benefits are those flat shallow seas and beaches, which generously spread endless benefits of fish and salt to contemporary Jimo. 1984, a shrimp farm with an area of 17500 mu harvested 536 tons of giant prawns, making Jimo one of the five "key shrimp farming counties" in China. 1987 The shrimp farm was expanded to 43,000 mu and 2,405 tons of fresh shrimp were harvested. Going up from Golden Beach, more than 940 square kilometers of low mountains and hills, 100 hills are low and undulating, rushing south to Laofeng. The green of more than 200,000 mu of forest land in the county is mostly rendered in this undulating ravine. The annual output of all kinds of fruits in the county is more than 1.600 tons, mostly from this Xiangshan ditch.
The eastern part of the county is mountainous and the western part is farmland. Pingchou, with 785 square kilometers in the western half of the county, is the eastern edge of Jiaolai Plain with fertile soil. From 65438 to 0987, the county produced 475,600 tons of grain, most of which came from this "Northwest Valley Grain Store".
Jimo is close to Laoshan Mountain in the southeast and Jiaowei Valley in the northwest, so the terrain is inclined from southeast to northwest, and the river source in the east is short and flows into the sea. There are many winding and slow-flowing rivers in the west, and there are many waterlogging and silting disasters in history. Dagu River, Guwu River and Taoyuan River surround the northern and southern borders of the county, while Hongjiang River, Liuhao River and Huaihe River are connected with the mainland.
With the vicissitudes of history and the sudden change of the times, the south "door" and the north "window" of Qingdao and Yantai were suddenly opened, and the weather in the hinterland of Jiaodong was one of the new ones. Once a corner of Jimo, the situation changed suddenly, with Qingdao in the south and Yantai in the north, which was the throat of north-south traffic. Yanqing and Qingshi highways must pass through the county, and Ji Jiao and Lan Yan railways meet in the territory. This "geographical location" is unique.
The ancient Jimo is full of new hopes.
