3. Serve.

If playing singles, the server can serve to any point on the opponent's table, and then the opponent should return it before it bounces twice or hits anything outside the table. If you play doubles, the service alternates between you and your partner. Starting from the person on the right, the ball must first bounce on your right side, and then it must be sent across the court to your opponent. After being awarded two points, your opponent, or in doubles, the opposing team member opposite the server starts to serve. After two more points, the original server, or in doubles, his partner serves.
4. Return the ball.
After serving or returning the ball, the ball can cross or bypass the net and return to any point on the other side of the table. After the ball bounces once on your side, it must be returned before it bounces twice or touches anything on the floor or table. If the ball touches the net when returning the ball, but crosses the net and hits your opponent's side, the ball is still in the game and your opponent must return the ball.
5. Score points.
Every time you don't let the ball play, you get a point. No matter who serves, both sides can get a point.
If your serve goes into the net and out of bounds without hitting the opponent's side, or (doubles) hits the wrong half of the opponent's side, the opponent or team that receives the serve will score one point. If you don't return the ball legally (as mentioned above: the ball goes into the net or doesn't hit your opponent's table side), your opponent will score one point. If you receive a legal serve or return, hit the ball with your racket more than once, or touch the ball with your body, your opponent will score one point.
