Anhui Wenda Institute of Information Engineering is located at the foot of Zipeng Mountain, a national 4A scenic spot, beside the Yanwan Lake. It is a full-time undergraduate college invested by Anhui Wenda Group and approved by the provincial government and the Ministry of Education. School-enterprise cooperation and Industry-University-Research combination are the inevitable choices for running an applied university. Relying on the provincial machinery, software, electronics, mold and other industry associations and related enterprises, the Industry-University-Research Cooperation Steering Committee was established, and 62 large and medium-sized enterprises including Anhui Liu Ying Group, Midea Household Appliances, Great Wall Refrigeration, Changhe Automobile and Hongxing Machinery joined it, forming a mode of school-enterprise cooperation and Industry-University-Research combination. The college holds a 1 plenary meeting every year to discuss personnel training and college development, arrange students to practice in related enterprises, organize teachers to participate in enterprise technology research, and jointly declare projects with enterprises.
The school-running mode of "school-enterprise cooperation and Industry-University-Research combination" has promoted the improvement of teachers' teaching level, especially their practical teaching ability. In order to cultivate applied and compound talents to meet the needs of China's economic and social development, the college has continuously optimized the curriculum, selected "double-qualified" teachers and strengthened the reform of teaching methods. The teacher said that students listen to lectures, theory is divorced from reality, students memorize by rote, and their practical application ability is poor. This is a long-standing problem in China's higher education.
