In the past two years, with the further deepening and refinement of school teaching reform, our trade union has also made more efforts and put forward higher requirements for itself. How to keep up with the progress of the school and how to do the work more carefully and deeply is a problem that we have been thinking and practicing.
Under the current situation, how to actively guide members to change their educational concepts and reform teaching methods while reforming the course content system, so as to improve the teaching quality and build a high-quality teacher team is the key to the success of education, and it is also one of the tasks for trade unions to cultivate a new generation of college students with pioneering spirit, innovative consciousness and high quality. Based on its own characteristics, the Information College Branch of our college actively leads the teachers and students of the Information College to carry out innovative activities with mathematical modeling competition and electronic design competition as the carriers.
In the past two years, under the organization and leadership of Professor Tan Xinxin, chairman of the branch, the School of Information has achieved excellent results in both the mathematical modeling competition and the electronic design competition. In the past two years, in the mathematical modeling competition, it won 10 awards in international competitions, 7 awards in national competitions and 29 awards in provincial competitions. Only in XX years, 55 teams participated in the competition, ranking first among ordinary universities in Liaoning Province and local universities in Northeast China. In the "National Electronic Design Competition for College Students" in XX, three students under the guidance of teacher Liu Hengdong of our college won the national second prize and the special prize of Liaoning Province for the first time. Branch leaders have always played a vanguard and exemplary role in teaching. At the second teaching work conference of Dalian University, Professor Tan Xinxin, chairman of the branch, won the title of "Teaching" for XX-XX years.
In order to improve the work enthusiasm of young teachers and encourage them to strive for perfection in their business, a special prize selection activity for classroom teaching of young teachers of Information College was organized from XX to XX. In the "Bilingual Teaching" competition, Ada won the opportunity to go to New Zealand for further study with her excellent foreign language performance. Through these activities, not only outstanding talents were discovered, but also advanced figures were commended, which not only improved the work enthusiasm of the staff in the hospital, but also made everyone's work more targeted and enthusiastic.
There are more than 60 teachers in the branch of Information College, who not only undertake the teaching tasks of various disciplines in our college, but also undertake the teaching tasks of basic mathematics and computer courses in the whole school. Heavy teaching will inevitably affect scientific research. Teaching and scientific research are the central tasks of colleges and universities, and both are indispensable. It is one of the main tasks of the trade union to actively participate in the discussion of state affairs and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of teaching staff. For many years, the branch of the School of Information has insisted on participating in the decision-making of the college, from the curriculum arrangement to the professional orientation and construction of the department, and timely reflected the voices of the faculty.
When making the secondary distribution plan of the department, XX first conveys the spirit of the branch members and the branch leader, and then the leader leads the members to study in detail and actively solicit opinions from members at different levels. The branch of the School of Information has also actively completed its own organizational construction. The office work in the three places of Information Engineering College has brought certain difficulties to the trade union work. Due to the large number of employees in our hospital, the office and teaching places are scattered. For employees who are sick, retired and have difficulties in life, we also take the way of separate visits by hospital trade unions and branch groups to visit inpatients in time and report to the school trade unions. In addition, we also actively organize faculty and staff to carry out poverty alleviation and charity activities. Among them, Mr. Zhang Yuxia and Mr. Liu Haiyan also pay a certain amount of salary every month, helping students with difficulties for many years and sending warmth to students' hearts, which set an example for other teaching staff. In XX years, the school trade union organized the physical examination of all the staff. At the same time, it is necessary to change educational concepts, reform teaching methods and improve teaching quality. Based on its own characteristics, our branch actively leads the teachers and students of the School of Information to carry out innovative activities with mathematical modeling competition and electronic design competition as the carrier. With the development of activities, the club actively encourages its members to initiate innovative projects and serve as instructors of projects and competitions through various channels, and rewards them for publishing articles on the website of School of Information on campus network at the end of the year. The trade union of Dalian University has won the title of advanced province and city for many times, which is not only due to the correct leadership of the Party Committee and the pioneering spirit of the trade union, but also due to the close cooperation of all branches and the joint efforts of all members. From leaders to branch members, the School of Information attaches great importance to the work of the school trade union and the tasks assigned to the branch.
In order to actively cooperate with the school trade union to do a good job, we regularly participate in various meetings and study lectures of the school trade union on weekdays to understand the spirit of the meeting and convey it to members in time, and organize members to participate in various large-scale activities organized by the school trade union, such as mountain climbing, school sports meeting, rope skipping competition, shuttlecock competition, radio exercise competition, etc. Donate clothes and materials to poor areas; Participate in all kinds of chess, ball games and knowledge competitions. Our college has a large number of teaching staff and scattered offices. In order to better carry out the staff's cultural and sports activities, enrich the staff's spare-time cultural life and enhance the staff's physical quality, since March of XX, we have established eight sports associations, including badminton association, volleyball association, table tennis association, Tai Ji Chuan association, chess association and aerobics association. In order to further enrich the cultural life of employees and create a harmonious and warm atmosphere, our branch carefully organizes New Year's party activities every year. At the annual New Year's party, we will make a video of the trade union activities in the past year to show the elegance of the members, and use the festive atmosphere of the New Year's party to commend the advanced collectives and individuals of the college's trade union activities. The rich content and novel form have been well received by the majority of league members and the leaders of the school present.
In the future work, we should make persistent efforts, play an active vanguard and exemplary role, and make our due contribution to building the branch of Information Engineering College into a warm and harmonious home for faculty and staff, and to building Dalian University into a first-class comprehensive local university.
