Baicheng County was the land of Gu Mo State and Qiuci State in Han Dynasty, and it was under the protection of the Western Regions. In the Tang Dynasty, there were two cities here: the first city in the west was Ashiyan City, that is, Bai, and the first city in the east was Gupiruo City, that is, Sailimu, both of which belonged to Gu Mo House and under the jurisdiction of the Governor's Office of Qiuci under Anxi Trust. The Yuan and Ming Dynasties did not lose the jurisdiction of Balitun. Until the 25th year of Qing Qianlong (1760), there were still two cities, Bayi and Sailimu. In the eighth year of Guangxu (1882), Baicheng County was jointly built by two places and belonged to Wensu Zhili Prefecture. In the 28th year of Guangxu (1902), it was transferred to Wensu House. 9 years (1920) is one of the nine counties under the jurisdiction of Aksu administrative region. After 1929, all administrative divisions belong to Aksu area.
