Metastar meta-aramid paper is a special paper made of pure meta-aramid fiber, which has the characteristics of high strength, low deformation, high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, flame retardant and excellent electrical insulation, and is widely used in aerospace, national defense industry, transportation, energy and electricity.

Metastar meta-aramid paper can be divided into meta-aramid paper for electrical insulation (YT5 10, YT5 16, YT51,YT564) and meta-aramid paper for honeycomb core material (YT8 12, YT).

Meta-aramid paper for electrical insulation has UL-certified temperature resistance grade 2 10℃, and the mechanical and electrical products made of it can reach the temperature resistance insulation grade H( 180℃) or above. Because aramid paper does not deform or melt at high temperature, the ability of mechanical and electrical products to temporarily withstand overheating and overload is improved. Using aramid paper as insulation material can make mechanical and electrical products compact and durable, and the volume and weight are greatly reduced. Aramid insulation paper is mainly used for: insulation materials between coils and windings in transformers, insulation materials of insulating sleeves, parts, wires and joints; Insulation materials for coil windings, slots, phases, turns and line terminals in motors and generators; Cable and wire insulation, nuclear power equipment insulation materials, etc. Representative products are dry-type transformers, locomotive traction motors, coal mine underground motors, microwave oven transformers and so on.

Meta-aramid paper is mainly made of aramid paper honeycomb core structure, which has the characteristics of light weight, impact resistance, high strength and aging resistance. According to SGS test, Metastar aramid paper YT5 16 meta aramid paper does not contain halogen elements such as fluorine, bromine and iodine, and the chlorine content is controlled below 400PPM, which is far below the limit of 900PPM required by international halogen-free requirements, thus adapting to the international halogen-free environmental protection trend.

According to SGS report, Metastar aramid paper has not detected ten toxic and harmful substances required by EU RoHS and RoHS2.0 directives. In addition, Metastar aramid paper does not contain phthalate esters, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, perfluorooctane, perfluorooctanoic acid, tetrabromobisphenol A, hexabromocyclododecane, dimethyl fumarate, polyvinyl chloride and other harmful substances of concern to the electronics industry.
