Dangyang is located in the middle and west of Hubei Province, in the middle and lower reaches of Zhang Ju, at the eastern foot of Daba Mountain Range and at the southern foot of Jingshan Mountain Range, which is the transition zone from the western Hubei Mountain to Jianghan Plain. It spans11132'-12 04' and 30 30'-31kloc-0/'north latitude.
Dangyang city starts from Sunjiawan, Chen Chang in the east and reaches Caojiagang, Zaolin in the west. The maximum horizontal distance between east and west is 5 1 km. It borders Jingmen City in the east. From the entrance of Zhanghe River due north to northeast, it operates Ziya and Yangjiawan, goes south along the main channel of Zhanghe Reservoir Area, then passes Guanyin Dam, Majiadian, Dianzigang and Sunjiawan, and reaches Hanyi Highway on the southeast boundary of the city, which is connected with the landscape of Jingmen City. In the south, it borders Jiangling District and Zhijiang County of Jingzhou City. From the southeast Hanyi Highway to the west, through Gaojiazhuyuan, Jiaoling Lake, to Xiaojiawan, then along the border to the north, through Wangjiawan and Wujiagan River, to Yangjiatan adjacent to Jiangling District of Jingzhou City; From Yangjiatan to the northwest, it passes through Shenjiapo, Zhengjiawan, Shiziling Reservoir, and reaches Baihubao in the northwest, adjacent to Zhijiang County. Yichang county is adjacent to the west. From Baihubao to the north, it passes through Ruanjiachong, Poshankou and Jiebeiya, and reaches Caojiagang, bordering Yichang County. The north is bordered by Yuan 'an County. From Caojiagang to the northeast, it passes through Nanbao, Xiaojiafan, Wangjialong, Paodaoling and Jingdangzhai, and reaches the west bank of Zhanghe Immigration Department in the north, adjacent to Yuan 'an County.
