The total area is 72 square kilometers, and the cultivated land area is 27,079 mu, including 25,260 mu of paddy field and 0/8/0/9 mu of dry land. Mainly planting rice, rich in water chestnut. Every year, 20,000 mu of water chestnut is planted, and sweet potatoes, fruit cane, citrus and Lipu taro are also planted. The town is one of the county grain bases. Qingshan Town has implemented the strategy of high-quality agriculture, focusing on five pillar industries such as horseshoe, Lipu taro, high-quality summer orange, vegetables and pigs, which has effectively promoted the adjustment of the agricultural industrial structure of the town. By 2005, the whole town will have planted 7 100 mu of taro and 0/4000 mu of vegetables, and the area of high-quality summer oranges will reach 6200 mu. More than 70,000 live pigs and 230,000 piglets were slaughtered throughout the year. Especially the water chestnut in Qingshan, because of its big size, thin skin, tender meat, delicious taste and high quality, has been selling well at home and abroad. Water chestnut has become the fist product of Qingshan agriculture. In 2005, the planting area was nearly 20,000 mu and the total output was more than 40,000 tons. Qingshan Town has also won the reputation of "the hometown of water chestnut in China". By grasping the innovative brand of the base, the town has cultivated and formed five new advantageous industries: early-maturing lotus root 1 1000 mu, high-quality valley 1000 mu, 500 mu of sericulture, fast-growing and high-yield forest 1000 mu, and nearly 200 mu of edible fungi, showing "one product in one village".
Town-run enterprises include agricultural machinery factory, pot head factory, lime factory, clothes hanger factory, cannery, brick and tile factory, feed processing factory and so on. There are 2 middle schools, 17 primary schools, 1 health centers and 1 county-level vocational middle schools located in the mirror of the town. The agricultural product market is 3072 square meters, and the polder days are Gregorian calendar 1, 4 and 7. In particular, high-quality bamboo and wood products (mainly wooden hangers) are exported to Europe, America and Southeast Asia, which has become the leading industry in the town to increase fiscal revenue, earn foreign exchange through export and arrange employment (reaching more than 4,000 people every year), and is the fist product of Qingshan Industry. In addition, the town also actively developed tourism resources, and introduced investors to invest 25 million yuan to develop Lizhiwan scenic spot, which filled the gap in the county's tourism projects in 2005 and has now officially started trial operation. With the rapid development of industry, the fiscal revenue of Qingshan Town has achieved a historic breakthrough, reaching 20.24 million yuan in 2005, an increase of 138.9% over 2004.
