First, according to the nature of military service, the ranks of soldiers are divided into:

(1) Non-commissioned officers: first-class master sergeant, second-class master sergeant, third-class master sergeant, fourth-class master sergeant, staff sergeant, non-commissioned officers and corporal;

Second, the ranks of soldiers are divided into:

(1) Senior noncommissioned officers: first-class master sergeant, second-class master sergeant and third-class master sergeant;

(2) Intermediate noncommissioned officers: fourth-class master sergeant and staff sergeant;

(3) Junior non-commissioned officers: non-commissioned officers and corporal;

Among the ranks of soldiers, private is the lowest rank, and the first-class master sergeant is the highest rank.

First, the approval authority for granting and promoting the ranks of soldiers:

Article 21 of the Regulations of China People's Liberation Army on the Service of Soldiers in Active Service shall grant and promote the examination and approval authority of soldiers' ranks:

(a) the first-class master sergeant and the second-class master sergeant shall be approved by the command organ of the military unit; The third-level master sergeant is approved by the chief officer of the corps level unit; Four-level master sergeant and staff sergeant shall be approved by the chief officer of the division (brigade) level unit; Sergeant and corporal shall be approved by the chief officer of the regiment (brigade) level unit.

(2) The rank of a soldier shall be approved by the chief officer of a company-level unit; A private who has served in active service for one year shall be promoted to the rank of squad leader by the chief officer of the battalion-level unit.

Article 22 The conferment and promotion of ranks of soldiers shall be announced by the chief officers of companies. The conferment and promotion of the rank of non-commissioned officer shall be ordered by the chief officer of the approving unit.

Twenty-fourth soldiers suspected of violating the law and discipline shall be examined according to law, and their ranks shall not be promoted temporarily; If there is no violation of law and discipline after examination, it will be promoted on schedule.

Article 25 Soldiers with high ranks and soldiers with low ranks shall be superiors. If a soldier with a high rank belongs to a soldier with a low rank, then a soldier with a high rank is a superior.

Second, the treatment of non-commissioned officers:

"China People's Liberation Army Servicemen Regulations" Article 37 If the family members of noncommissioned officers meet the requirements of being embedded in the army but are not embedded in the army, the army will issue severance allowance and medical allowance.

Article 38 If a noncommissioned officer dies in the line of duty, his family members shall be transferred to the people's government for resettlement management, and the regulations of the State Council and the Central Military Commission on transferring the family members of an officer who died in the line of duty to the people's government for resettlement management shall be followed.

Article 39 Non-commissioned officers shall enjoy housing subsidies, housing accumulation funds and rent subsidies in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state and the army. Non-commissioned officers with dependents shall implement the housing policy of combining apartment housing with self-owned housing, and the specific measures shall be formulated by the relevant headquarters of the army.

Non-commissioned officers who do not bring their spouses to visit relatives in the army shall be provided with temporary housing by units at or above the regiment level in accordance with regulations.

Fortieth noncommissioned officers shall enjoy the treatment of family leave and vacation in accordance with the following provisions:

(1) If an unmarried noncommissioned officer does not live with his parents, the corporal shall enjoy the leave to visit his parents twice during his term of office, with each leave lasting 20 days; Sergeant above sergeant has the right to visit his parents once a year for 30 days at a time. Married noncommissioned officers separated from their parents have the right to visit their parents once every two years for 20 days.

(two) married noncommissioned officers and their spouses do not live in the same place, enjoy visiting their spouses once a year, and the holiday is 40 days.

(3) Married noncommissioned officers who are separated from their spouses or parents, but whose spouses live together with their parents or one of their parents, only enjoy the holiday of visiting their spouses; If you live in a different place with your spouse or parents and meet the requirements of visiting your spouse and parents at the same time within one year, you can only enjoy one family leave, with a holiday of 45 days.
