What does it take to join the Young Pioneers?

Joining the Young Pioneers requires age, nationality, good health, parents' consent and the quality of joining the team.

1. Age condition: generally applicable to children aged 6- 14, subject to relevant local policies and regulations.

2. Nationality requirements: Generally speaking, China citizens or foreign children who have settled in China are required.

3, health conditions: good health, no serious diseases that affect normal life and study.

4. Parental consent: Parents or guardians need to obtain written consent to participate in the occupation ceremony, and parents have certain understanding and support for their children's participation.

5. Have the quality of joining the team: have good moral character, discipline, respect for teachers, solidarity and mutual assistance, helpfulness and other basic qualities of young pioneers.

Joining the Young Pioneers means that a child officially becomes a member of the China Youth League (Young Pioneers). The Communist Youth League of China is a mass organization led by the Communist Party of China (CPC), and an organization for children's study, life and social practice in China.

As young pioneers, children will participate in team activities with other team members, learn the knowledge of red scarf and socialist core values, exercise their moral cultivation, and form a good atmosphere of unity and mutual assistance in the team. The admission ceremony is usually a solemn and grand ceremony, which marks that children have become members of the Youth League and provides them with more opportunities and guidance for their growth and development.

Significance of Young Pioneers

1. Patriotism education: As a member of the Communist Youth League of China, young pioneers will receive patriotism education and the cultivation of socialist core values. Students learn and inherit the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and cultivate their love and sense of identity with the motherland.

3. Moral cultivation: Young Pioneers solemnly swore at the joining ceremony, promising to be a law-abiding, honest, kind and helpful boy. The Young Pioneers' organization helps children to establish correct moral concepts and cultivate good moral character and behavior habits by carrying out characteristic activities and education guidance.
