Civil aviation university of china is located at Zhang Gui Zhuang Airport 1, Dongli District, Tianjin. Its predecessor was the Second Civil Aviation School of the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Central People's Revolutionary Military Commission established on September 25th. 1958 12 15, the school was renamed as China Civil Aviation Advanced Aviation School.

65438+June 2 1 0963, China Institute of Civil Aviation Machinery was merged. 1981August 10, the school was renamed as Civil Aviation College of China. On May 30th, 2006, the school was renamed civil aviation university of china.

Since the school was renamed as a university, it has successively undertaken major projects of the National High-tech Research Program (863 Program). Among them, the national key R&D project "Wide-area aviation safety monitoring technology and application" led by the school became the first national key R&D project launched after the reform of the national scientific research system in the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan".
