He carried out two steps first.
1. He must submit a sponsorship and pay the fee;
He must submit an application together with the sponsorship.
After that, he will be evaluated, and if he is qualified, then the local immigration officials in Canada will approve the sponsorship.
Then the documents will be sent to the Beijing consulate. You will receive a package with all the information, including the forms you have to fill out, medical examination and police permission.
After receiving all the required documents, the Beijing Consulate will decide whether an interview is needed. The package will be sent back to Ottawa for approval. Once approved, the visa will be issued by the Beijing Consulate.
You have one year to come to Canada from the date of physical examination. At the airport, you will fill out a form and send it to you on the PR card of the immigration office, which will take about 4 to 6 weeks.
After that, you must live in Canada for 730 days in five years before you are eligible for citizenship.
