The nearest railway from Chinese mainland to Taiwan Province Province has been opened to traffic. What passenger stations are there?

On the morning of 26th, with the g5322 train slowly leaving Pingtan Station, Fuping Railway, the closest railway from the mainland to Taiwan Province Province Island, was officially opened for operation.

The 88km-long Fuping Railway connects Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, with Pingtan, the fifth largest island in China. It is a national first-class passenger and freight double-track railway. Six passenger stations, including Fuzhou, Fuzhou South, Changle and Pingtan, have a maximum operating speed of 200 kilometers per hour. Pingtan is the closest place in Chinese mainland to Taiwan Province Province, only 68 nautical miles away from Hsinchu, Taiwan Province Province. The state has set up a comprehensive experimental zone in Pingtan to explore the construction of homes for compatriots on both sides of the strait. At present, there are thousands of Taiwan-funded enterprises registered in the experimental area. Yang Binghao, a Taiwanese who runs a cultural and creative center in Beigang Village, Pingtan, believes that the opening of Fuping Railway will further promote the open development of Pingtan and facilitate the exchanges between compatriots on both sides of the strait. At present, there are boats on both sides of Pingtan. After the opening of Fuping Railway, Taiwan Province compatriots moved from the ship to the railway, passing through Pingtan, and they can easily reach Beijing, Shanghai and other mainland areas.

The railway started construction on 20 13, which lasted for 7 years and overcame many difficulties. Especially in Pingtan sea area, which is called the forbidden area of bridge construction because of strong winds, huge waves and hard rocks, builders have built the world's longest cross-sea highway railway bridge-Pingtan Strait Highway Railway Bridge. On 26th, when the first train arrived at the bridge, passengers raised their mobile phones to take photos. The wind was above level 6 that day, but the high-speed rail was still stable and comfortable. We installed wind walls on both sides of the bridge, which can effectively reduce the wind. Xiao Shibo, executive deputy manager of Pingtan Strait Highway-Railway Bridge Project of China Railway Bridge Bureau, said that when the 6-level wind reaches the bridge deck through the wind barrier, it generally weakens to the 3-level wind.

At present, Fuping Railway runs 9.5 pairs of EMUs every day. After 202 1+ 1.20 national railway map adjustment, the maximum number of EMU trains 17 will be operated every day, which will greatly improve Pingtan's traffic radiation capacity. Through Fuping Railway, it is connected with Hefei High-speed Railway, Hangzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway and Changfu Railway at Fuzhou Hub. Pingtan will go directly to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other big cities.
