Beijing Capital International Airport has three terminals, two 4E-class runways and one 4F-class runway, as well as passenger and cargo handling facilities. The development of history
Beijing Capital International Airport was put into use on March 2nd, 1958. It is the first civil airport put into use during the People's Republic of China (PRC) period, and it is also the fourth airport in the history of China to open international flights (the first three international flights are Shanghai Longhua Airport,1926; Kunming Wujiaba Airport,1937; Chongqing Yi Baishi Airport, 1939). In the spring of 2008, with the completion of the Capital Airport Extension Project (T3 Terminal), Terminal 1 (T 1) was closed for renovation, and China Southern Airlines was transferred to Terminal 2 for operation. After the transformation of T 1, Hainan Airlines Hu, Daxinhua Airlines CN, Tianjin Airlines GS and Aviation JD (renamed Capital Airlines on May 4th, 2065438+00) under Hainan Airlines Group (domestic routes) replaced China Southern Airlines as the exclusive operators of Terminal 1.
