Tianjin Hongxing Vocational Secondary School was founded in 1983, formerly known as Tianjin Hongqiao District Nurse Vocational Middle School. 1985 was approved by Tianjin Municipal People's Government as "Tianjin Vocational Secondary School for Nurses". 1994 was renamed as "Tianjin Health Vocational Secondary School". 1999 was renamed as "Tianjin Red Star Vocational Secondary School" again.
