For the purpose of river-sea combined transport, the Yangkou Canal was excavated along the whole line. Nantong plans to transfer the Yangkou Canal to Kyubi no Youko Port via the Taitai Canal to the Yangtze River as a third-class waterway, and the freight from Yangkou Port can reach the Yangtze River waterway directly, thus reducing the cost around the coastline.

Expressway, Toarey Yang, is a port-dredging expressway from Nantong to Yangkou Port. The first phase of the project was completed on 20 14.
Haiqi expressway is a part of expressway, Yang Qi, reaching the hinterland of Yangzhou and Taizhou in the west and Shanghai via Chongqi Bridge in the east. Haiqi Expressway is connected with Yangkou Port at the intersection of Rudong and Provincial Highway 355.
National highway
National Highway 328 (Jiangsu Linhai High-grade Highway) runs through the whole territory, connecting the hinterland of central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu with important coastal economic parks in Jiangsu.
provincial highway
Provincial Highway 355 (Judong Line) connects Yangkou Avenue and leads to Rugao in the west.
Provincial Highway 222 is planned to extend to Yangkou Port in the north and Haimen in the south.
railway
The 77-kilometer-long ocean railway from Hai 'an to Yangkou Port (National Railway Class II) opened passenger service on June 20 14. The second phase of the project is planned to go to Sunshine Island. Long-term construction of Yangkou Port-Lvsi Railway.
Nantong plans the S2 line of light rail, and digging the port to Yangkou Port is a long-term plan.
