What are the procedures for settled passengers to enter the country for their own use?

According to the Regulations on the Administration of Inbound and Outbound Luggage of Passengers in China, People's Republic of China (PRC) (Order No.58 of the General Administration of Customs, revised by Order No.235-2 of the General Administration of Customs):

1. Non-resident passengers of China nationality who are allowed to enter and settle down should go through the customs clearance formalities with their residence certificates issued by the relevant authorities in People's Republic of China (PRC) within 6 months after they are allowed to enter and settle down. The above articles for personal use may be declared to the competent customs or port customs at the settlement place. Except for the items listed in the List of Taxable Articles for Self-use and Settlement of Settled Passengers (see Annex 2 of the Order of this Department), within a reasonable amount, they will be allowed to enter the country duty-free after being audited by the Customs. Among them, the duty-paid price is more than RMB 1 ,000 yuan, and the limit of each article is 1 piece. Self-use cars and motorcycles shall be declared to the local customs, and each household is allowed to import 1 car.

2. In principle, the articles for entry and settlement are limited to the articles for personal use that have been owned and used abroad. After approval, articles within the prescribed scope are allowed to enter the country duty-free, except for articles subject to taxation stipulated by the state. Among them, the duty-paid price is between RMB 65,438+0,000 and RMB 5,000 (including RMB 5,000), and each piece is limited to 1 piece. Self-use cars and motorcycles are allowed to be imported 1 vehicle. 3. If a passenger who has entered the country for settlement stays for less than 2 years from the date of entry, and then leaves the country for settlement again, his settled articles brought into the country duty-free shall be transported out of the country or returned to the customs.
